  • Hi everyone! Thanks Mel for creating this group! I'm Sammie, 28 years old. Right now I'm sort of stuck on level 3 of the 30DS. It's not because it's too difficult, but because I have a lot to do for university and then before I know it it's time to go to bed. I have maybe 5 or 6 days left and I aim to have them done by the…
  • I'm so far on day 4 of level 3. Six days left. I might have given up a long time ago if it had not been for this group, so thank you! At this point I don't know what i will be doing after I finish 30DS. I might join you in doing RI30, but I'm constantly changing my mind so will see what I end up doing when that day arrives.
  • Believe it or not, but I just completed level 2. It only took me 8 days to get into the whole routine and memorize it. It's weird, with level 1 I learned pretty quickly what to and when, but with level 2 I had to wait for her to actually say what came next. Except after the last mountain climbers (I don't know what they're…
  • Well I doubt it's fat so I don't think you have to worry about that. It's probably just water weight. I've read on here something about the muscles retaining water while they're healing and growing (or something along those lines). Take also into consideration TOM or ovulation. I gained 4lbs last time I ovulated (sorry if…

  • Congrats on the inches lost! (the ones you're proud about anyway.) :) I've also lost a few inches from the waist area, but the legs and arms stay the almost same even though it feels like they're working harder than any other part.
  • Still here. I did day 7 of level 2 today. Didn't think I would get this far. To be honest, I'm still sticking to the beginners version for most of the moves. I'm also leaving out the walk-in push-ups. I think they were causing the ache in my knees, at least they're not as sore since I stopped doing that move. My proudest…
  • Anyone else get sore knees from level 2? I have otherwise bad knees, but they've been, surprisingly, in pretty good shape since I started exercising in the beginning of this month. However, I've noticed that they've become more sore after starting level 2.
  • I might join you on Monday the 8th. I should be done with level 2 by Saturday the 6th if I do it every day (except Sunday, my rest day). I just want level 2 to be over and done.
  • It's really not easy. There are actually very few moves I like in this level. I miss level 1... I hate circuit 3, I don't mind the strength section even though it's killing my arms, but to do planks in both cardio and abs right after is way too much. I had to do other ab moves because I had no strength left in my…
  • I did it! Day 2 -level 2 is done.
  • I feel bad. I skipped yesterday and I'm skipping today as well. Don't be mad... :flowerforyou: I didn't have a lot of time yesterday to do much exercising and my knees were sore so I skipped it and thought I would do L2D2 today instead. Alas, I have a paper due tomorrow for uni and because I'm a very skilled procrastinator…
  • Here's a little bit of advice for level 2: There's a move called "walk-in push-up" and the idea is to bend forward with straight legs and walk forward on your hands to push-up/plank position and then move back up. (circuit 1, strength) I was stupid enough to try it with straight legs - not a good idea! I almost fell on my…
  • According to some posts here on mfp, Jillian has said that you should only do 30DS four times a week. And have one rest day per week. On the two other days you could do some other kind of exercise. When I started I did 30DS six days in a row, which turned out to be too much for me. It was too tough to do the same thing…
  • When I started working out three weeks ago (with a different program) I was already sweating like crazy during the warmup, but kept doing it and I noticed big improvement within a week. I'm now doing 30DS. I can't do everything they do in the video, because of knee issues, but I do what I can and I modify. For example, I…
  • In "Killer Buns and Thighs" it's the same girls and Jillian hardly speaks to Anita, at least not in level 1, it's all about Natalie. Jillian also says that she doesn't want any comments on Twitter about the girls - I think she's referring to the moment in 30DS level 1 when you see Natalie cheating.
  • I will be doing day 9 level 1 a bit later today. I'm still not doing jumping jacks nor jump ropes, I don't care what Jillian says about 400lbs people doing them - I have no intention of busting my knees again. Instead I'm doing knee lifts or other low impact moves that are easier on my knees. My favorite part is when we…
  • I'm sure glad I had a rest day on Sunday, it gave me new energy and motivation to continue. I had to convince myself on Friday and Saturday to do my exercises and I think it was partly because it was too tough and boring to do the same thing every day. So I have decided to mix it up a bit. I'm going to be doing Jillian's…
  • I completed Day 6 a few minutes ago. Tired, but happy that it's done. Looking forward to rest the whole evening and tomorrow as well.
  • For me it's knowing that by exercising every day I'm one step closer to reaching my goal (I have quite a bit of weight to lose). Almost daily I've been noticing slight changes in my body, even though I've only began exercising last week ( I do both Power 90 and 30DS). I've gained muscle in my arms, it's easier to get up…
  • I just finished Day 1. Worse part was when she said that she knows 400lbs people that can do jumping jacks - well I'm still not going to do them (my knees are not in the best shape so I don't want to strain them too much). Otherwise thought it went quite well. Sweating and shaking. :)
  • Hi, I'm Sammie. I'm 28. Representing the single people (most seem to be married with kids) :) I started actively using MFP last week and it's through this site that I first heard of 30DS. Today will be my first time doing it. I'm probably going to be doing the easier versions of the moves to start with, but I'm hoping that…
  • I'm going to be starting this on Monday (Sept 3). Feel free to add me as a friend if you're also doing P90.
  • To get rid of fruit flies pour a little bit of vinegar in a glass, fill the rest of the glass with water and top it off with a few drops of dish-washing liquid. Place the glass where the flies usually are and you should see results within a couple of days.
  • I'm also fairly new and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good website that would explain the amounts of calories needed and the divide between fat, carbs and protein. I know there are sites that calculate these numbers, but I would like to better understand the logic behind it and how to set them according to your own…
  • Extreme introvert. As child and teenager I couldn't wait to get out of school because I felt so exhausted from being around people all day. I couldn't understand why my friends wanted to still hang out after school. That made me think that there was something wrong with me. It wasn't until late last year (I'm now 28) that…
  • Thank you for your suggestions!
  • Thank you! I was just wondering if this site could be better than Facebook because I might actually get something out of it.
