  • Wow, Time flies!! I am not where I wanted to be at this time. I am going to Florida this week- woohoo!!! I would like to be at least 5 lbs lighter, but I will still be wearing a bikini and be pretty confident about it. My mantra is something like work hard in preparation, and when you arrive, exude confidence because you…
  • df1982, I agree with you that the wellness part of this challenge is the hardest. I think many modern women would agree, which is a testament to our busy, stressed out, go-go-go lifestyle. In my opinion the wellness component is the most important for long term success in the other areas. Making wellness a priority is…
  • I'm glad a few are still left! If it died completely, I would be discouraged :( So cool that you're on week 7 of C25K! I did week 5 this week and just about died on the day it said to run 2 miles/20 min without walking. I was thinking, "I'm just not there yet!" And I know in week 7 you jog with no walking, so how is that…
  • I'm right there with you, df1982!! I gained as well :( but I'm not documenting it because it is that special week of the month. My mom told me a few years back that she gained almost 5 lbs of water during her period. I am anxious for next week to see if I did lose from where I was at. It is such a bad feeling to have…
  • A bit late, but fitness goal- I really need to stretch! I have been having bad knee pain and leg soreness because I've been skipping it! nutrition- to hit my calorie goals within 100 cal wellness- finish unpacking...and thus sorting the clutter in my mind! reward- lunch at my favorite Mediterranean place next week :)
  • I gained a pound! How did that happen?! I really should have lost, but I think I've gained a lot of leg muscle since I've started running longer. I'm going to say that's it anyway. We will see what happens next week. In the meantime I'm not giving up- full speed ahead to summer!
  • I am on week 4 of couch 2 5k and let me say it's killer!! My knees really started hurting last week so my fitness goal is just to be able to complete week 4 this week. My nutrition goal is to only have one cheat of my dairy sugar gluten free plan. My wellness goal is to actually finish moving in to my new place. I still…
  • I am so inspired by all the posts that you ladies met your goals! That's lots of wonderful accomplishments! I didn't do as well but not terrible. The weigh in will tell. My fitness goal of 3 runs 2 strength was accomplished! I slipped up a couple times on the gluten free- one was a panera cupcake I couldn't help it lol. My…
  • My goal is also the couch 2 5k app! I have hated running my whole life so this will be a big deal if I can make it. I'm on week 3 and I won't lie it is tough! My other non scale goal is just looking good in a bathing suit! I will just know when I reach that point. Right now I'm like eh- I want to love that midsection! Can…
  • I met my fitness goal last week of 3 cardio sessions and 2 strength, so this week I want to see if I can do 3 cardio and 3 strength, even if the strength is just a 10 minute circuit after a run. Nutrition- this week I want to say no to desserts except for 1 day :) Wellness- I moved this weekend and am busy and settling…
  • Two summers ago when I finished college I was upset that I had gained the freshman 20!! I did a cleanse program and only lost like 5 pounds. I decided to keep with the cleanse idea and rid my diet of 3 things: Dairy products Refined flours Added sugar and artificial sweeteners This was very difficult, especially after…
  • Lost 1/2 lb in the last couple weeks that I've been watching myself more closely. That isn't very much but I know I have put on muscles in my legs since I started jogging, so it's just part of the process!
  • Hello everyone is so inspiring to read all of your posts so far! My main goal is to just be healthier and get my nutrition back on track. I have chronic fatigue and know that anything I do as far as nutrition and exercise can only help me with my symptoms. My boyfriend is moving to an apartment with a wonderful pool and we…

  • It's been a while since I logged in sorry about that! I got a job and took a trip to see my boyfriend :). My new job requires me to stand and walk around all day and I have definitely seen it on the scales! I dropped a pound in a week where I ate like 6 doughnuts (they were free! Not an excuse I know) because of all this…

  • I've found the food log really helpful! I used it religiously early on and found that I was eating too much and didn't even know it!! And now I have learned the calories in various foods so I can still stay at my goal range on days I don't log them in! It really is SUCH a helpful tool!
  • Starting weight: 118.5 Current weight:116.5 Two pounds lost yay!! I have been doing pretty darn good with the eating part of my lifestyle. I had a great moment at a restaurant when I realized I REALLY wanted the heirloom tomato and fresh mozerella salad even instead of all these smothered beef dishes :) Like many of you,…
  • Oh I totally do this too!! Its really helpful for a lot of people, but I know a few who it doesn't work on, so everyone is different! I recently had a competition with my mom- whoever lost 10 pounds first got a "shopping spree"! That was definitely the motivation I needed and having a goal attached to something I really…
