  • My main form of exercise is walking, I do not have the money to join a gym & have back problems, so I do what I know I can handle at this time. I am hoping that as I drop more weight - I have 70 - 80 pounds to go, that I can add strength training in. You need to do what is best for you, we didn't gain this weight overnight…

  • I love tilapia, I bake it with with butter spray & sesame seeds...yum! Add in a sweet potato w/ cinnamon & splenda and a salad!
  • It happens, a while back I had lost 40 pounds, did a 10 mile walk for charity & gained 7 pounds! I too was devastated. Just focus on the incredible loss of weight and keep going - you are truly an inspiration to all of us!
  • I now work at home, but when I was in the office I always ate breakfast at my desk. Greek yogurt is great & filling, sometimes I would mix i cereal for crunch. If you have access to a microwave I would make eggs, Hungry Girl has a lot of great egg in a mug recipes, add in a 100 calorie english muffin or pita and you have a…
  • It could be a lot of factors, what have you been eating? Sodium esp can cause you to retain water, I have heard red meat, even watermelon can cause a temporary weight gain. I have been trying to really watch my sodium level, limiting my processes food & I have been losing, not huge amounts, but a loss is a loss. Are you…
  • I walk my dog right now twice a day, total of 45 minutes. Currently we live in a house with a big fenced in back yard, so he gets plenty of exercise. We are probably moving soon into an apartment so the walks will have to increase to make sure he gets enough exercise.
  • I have an 8 year old "Jackinese" - jack russell - pekingese mix. He is my baby & he goes on a lot of my walks with me, I can't take him if its early in the morning because he barks at anything that resembles a dog...lol.
  • I have a stationary bike, I walk my dog, I do Leslie Sansone - working on getting my fitness level up to do other stuff such as Zumba. I have Comcast and they have some good workouts on demand
  • Are you exercising? Are the calories leftover from your 1800 or the extra you earn working out? It is frustrating watching what you eat and working out & the scale does not reflect it, but you need to persevere. If you don't eat enough everyday, your body will think you are starving & your metabolism will slow down. I am…
  • Sometimes I do, depending on the day & what is going on - such as a birthday & I want a small piece of cake. Right now I am concentrating on losing weight & trying to stick to my allotted allowance.
  • It depends on how snug the smaller size is & if I am going out. If I'm just hanging out at home, the bigger size with either a belt or pinned. The smaller size helps remind me not to eat too much, but I also prefer to be comfortable...lol
  • It doesn't matter how overweight you are, in order to lose it, you have to want to do it - if not you really aren't going to succeed. My boyfriend has made comments about my weight in the past, but I was not in the right frame of mind and ignored him(plus he is overweight too) I would not approach someone I did not know,…
  • Welcome, I have been here around a month & it is awesome!! Add me if you are looking for friends
  • I haven't made it to running yet, but I have found after almost 3 months that I can walk farther & faster than when I first started. But you do have to keep pushing yourself to keep your metabolism revved. Keep going, it is so worth it!
  • 1. greek yogurt 2. chicken 3. onions
  • I am 50 yo, have lost 23 pounds, and have around 80 to go, plus I have arthritis in my lower back so I have to be careful. I try to exercise 6 days a week, key word try. I try to alternate abd one day I work out over an hour riding a bike and walking, the next day I'll walk 45 minutes. I hope that as I lose the weight I…
  • I live in South Jersey - Gloucester County. Would love some Jersey friends
  • I have a 2010 Jeep Liberty - love it! Not the best on gas mileage, but I work from home so a tank of gas lasts me awhile.
  • I'm close....January 11th!
  • I agree Applebee's - I got the shrimp and spinach salad thinking I was making a smart choice...WRONG...960 calories. I know try to remember to check calorie counts ahead of time. Though many times I have decided to just cook after looking - the sodium count of restaurant food is horrible.
  • At times my boyfriend knows how much I weigh, but when I started trying once again this past July, he decided to lose weight too, which is a good thing. The only problem is that he is making it into a competition, so I haven't said anything. He has lost close to 30 & I have lost 22, so he thinks he is "winning", I am…
  • Heaviest: 279 Lowest: 145(too low for me) Current: 243 Goal: 160-170 Height: 5'11"
  • Welcome back! I too am a yo-yo dieter, at my heaviest I weighed 279 pounds, lost 99 and then gained most of it back. I am still kicking myself about it, but also feel no living in the past. I too am addicted to food & was eating massive quantities, mostly when nobody was around to see me doing it. Its a horrible addiction,…
  • Wow, you look great! I am 5' 11", at my heaviest I weighed 279, once a long time ago got down to 145, but couldn't maintain and you could see my rib bones. Hoping to get down to 160-170 - but have a long way to go. I do not have too many pictures, hate having my picture taken at my current weight(245).
  • You are not alone, I have issues with that too, and the kicker is I work at home now. As some of the other posts state, you have to prepare ahead of time. I try to keep healthy foods in the house - bagged salad, cook some chicken & either rice or quinoa so when its time to eat, all I have to do is grab it. If I am out…
  • Unfortunately I am obese, but I agree that eating out is difficult - I went out last week to celebrate a birthday, got a salad thinking it would be a better choice & later found out that it had 960 calories! I just recently turned 50, have high blood pressure and am tired of being heavy so I have decided its time to do…
  • I am 50, and hoping once and for all to get down to a healthy weight. I work from home so I am looking for weight loss buddies to help keep me motivated. Please add me as a friend!
