Magnesium is awesome as a muscle relaxant and can actually be super beneficial when taken at night time to aid in sleep. You should start with 250 mg taken in the evenings and see how that helps

Bump for awesome info!

If your diet is accurate as you suggest then it could be water retention due to increased activity. Give yourself at least another 2 weeks of consistent and accurate logging and exercising and the scale will start to move in the right direction. Be patient it will happen!! =)

I think I got it from Ardenes to be honest haha. Cheapy swim suit top, that was an impulse buy =)

Thanks for all the love! Since making this post I have lost an additional 3 pounds, and ran my first ever 5k! The inches are going down and I feel more awesome every day. Keep at it everyone!

Logging accurately using a food scale and being honest with yourself. That and having fitness goals as well, so that if the scale isn't moving in the direction you want then you don't derail your progress because that's your only motivation.

Hi sorry! I haven't checked this in a while. Honestly I have tried to stick around 1700-1800 calories a day, and I workout and I am active. I took a bit of a mental break for about a month, and ate closer to maintenance but I am back at it now losing 1 lb per week until I hit 160 lbs, and then I will slow my loss the…

Agree with all of this! Well done TraceyLynn!!

I started running because I always had told myself that I hated it and would never 'be a runner' and somewhere between finishing C25K and running my first 5Km race I have fallen in love with it. There is something exciting about conquering your fears and learning to love something that once scared you.

This is such a powerful NSV. Good for you! I have a tough time guilt tripping myself if I go over, it can be so emotional. Keep it up, and thank you for the inspiration!

Two Christmas' ago my sister bought me two pairs of shorts from LaSenza, they were size Mediums. I tried them on and they looked awful, they were tight on my hips and tummy and squeezed my thighs... Last night I was in my drawer looking for something to wear to bed and I pulled out a pair of those shorts. Scared I decided…

You will surprise yourself. If you add up your run times from the previous weeks you are already running for a total of 20 minutes within a workout. It is scary but trust yourself and listen to your body. I remember when I hit my first 20 minutes run without stopping I was like h*** no, but then I just focused on my…

Currently on Week 6 Day 2. Listen to everyone in this thread: 1) Go Slow 2) Get good shoes 3) Listen to your body 4) Have fun and you will be amazed at what your body can do! When I started I could barely run 30 seconds and now I can run up to 20 minutes. I was never a runner, but it gives you a different kind of…

fitnessblender.com just enter in what equipment you have, length of workout, and which body parts you want to hit and it brings up different workouts... Best part is it's free!

Make one small change at a time. If you go ahead and try and cut it all out at once then it seems like torture. But try with baby steps. If you are going to the store, instead of buying chips, chocolate, candy pop etc, just buy one. Small changes work to build good habits. You can do this!

5 foot 10, HW 175 lbs, current weight 164. I would love to get down to 150 lbs, that is my lowest adult weight, and I felt good there. But once I get into the 150 range I will turn my focus to recomp and then throw the scale out the window.

I started really buckling down January 1 2015. And have lost pretty steady since then. I just weighed in at 164 yesterday. Most of 2014 was spent yoyoing between 175 and 166, I haven't been under 165 in a couple years!

My boyfriend is convinced that if you cut out sugar then you will lose weight and maintain it. Of course it worked for him so it must work for all of us... :|

I had PRK done in the end of March. My experience was great, the overall surgery was a little bit scary but you do not feel a thing. When the laser is actually going all you smell is burning hair. I could see clearly immediatly after the surgery, the overall healing process was one week and I just had burning eyes…
