this. i'll also post this one more time : pubmed is a compilation of most legitimate, peer-reviewed scientific studies. if you see a ridiculous claim on a blog somewhere, check for real research here : http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

oatmeal. i can have an oatmeal and yogurt breakfast and then play three hours of golf on foot with no problem. it's almost supernatural, lol. my great great aunt used to say : "Oats are good for what ails ye." i agree.

soda with no calories is like candy with no calories : no calories. i consider full cal soda to be "liquid candy." cal free soda : not so much.

i work in molecular / microbiology research, and i'm a working musician on the side.

my meal times are usually set in stone. delaying them unnecessarily results in some degree of anxiety for me. also, i dislike being interrupted mid-meal with phone calls or work questions. these quirks make me feel like rain man sometimes, lol. however, i suppose that's just how i'm wired, so i have to go with it.

first LP : Thriller / Michael Jackson (my parents bought this one for me because i was very young) first CD : Led Zeppelin IV. i think i bought it in 1989 along with my first cd player.

depends on the exercise. 30 mins jogging is different than 30 mins exercise bike. i generally do 60+ minutes light to medium during the week, and 100+ on the weekends. my preferred cardio is exercise bike / walking / hiking.

i have a Schwinn 140 exercise bike that i ride every day. i think i paid about $300 for it.

i support calorie counts on menus. i wish they'd do it voluntarily. calorie counts are already on every commercially available food product.

i'm on lialda, also. it's a bit of an expensive hassle, but not as much of a hassle as laying on the couch, hoping i can make it to the bathroom, and then passing back out on the couch. that was a real low for me. good luck with your remission.

i've embraced that attitude as well. i freaked out a little about 30, and then i quickly realized how stupid it was to do that. in fact, it gave me motivation to finally stop being an overweight dude who sat around eating too much and to transform into a nonsmoking exercise freak. i like it.

i received my 38th star this past Halloween. 30s are awesome.

i hope that you are feeling better soon.

lending his name to this nonsense cinched it for me : http://i618.photobucket.com/albums/tt264/fourteenapples/random%20mb/1330727720639.jpg i can't respect anyone who would endorse this kind of nonsense. edit : this forum software is lacking in image options. caption on magazine cover : Dr. Oz reveals the oil which shrinks…

while i do consume alcohol from time to time, no one should pressure you to do so. kudos for making the choices that fit you best regardless of the peer pressure.

excellent work. you look great.

i also did the under 1,000 cal thing for a big stretch in 2005. result : lots of weight lost, lots of muscle lost, and a screwed up metabolism. i was up 20 pounds 2 years later, but i had lost 90 or so by then, so it wasn't a total loss. on round two of the diet, i did it the right way, with healthy eating and exercise.…

mine was confining excessive food intake to one meal, logging it all, and making up for it with exercise. Christmas dinner was awesome, and not feeling guilty about it was good, too.
-
i'll be working out on Christmas to prepare for a great holiday meal.

i hate vanity sizing. they even do it to men's pants now. just do it by inches so that i don't have to try on 500 pairs of pants.
-
Cornish game hen (first time i've tried it.) various sides cheesecake and PB fudge that i'm making for the first time. i'll spend plenty of time on the exercise bike to prepare, lol.
-
awesome. i usually put so many veggies in my eggs that they risk falling apart. putting them in a pepper shell is genius.
-
i pretty much just hit accept. i figure we're all in this together, and the worst things that they will learn about me is that my maintenance diet includes going to subway a bunch, eating a lot of clif bars, having a few vodka /diets, and spending years on the exercise bike.

sometimes i plan it all out the day before, and other times i plan it out in the morning after i weigh in.

your body counts all water as water, whether it's water, juice, soda, lettuce, and so on. if it has caffeine or alcohol in it, one has to take into account that those are diuretics, and will cause you to expel some of the water.

i'm still logging that day. i'll probably eat and exercise more that day, but i am still planning to log it. i hope to still come in under goal, but if not, i will log that also.

mine is open to friends. as for the whole internet / search engines / advertisers, not so much.
