Drink one glass of water for every alcoholic drink. Alcohol makes me thirsty so this keeps me from drinking too fast. I tend to go with white wine mixed with club soda. It stretches your calories farther than hard liquor (you get more to drink) and still tastes good.

Please add me! It would be nice to have some friends that are in the same boat as me! I am 33 years old and have lost about 7 pounds since January before starting MFP (again) last week. Lost 1 pound. I am trying to dedicate myself to becoming healthy.

Start exercising! Gasping for breath while you are working out is the best motivation to stop smoking ever!

I reward myself with new workout clothes. Having something new and cute (and hopefully smaller) encourages me to keep on sweating!

One of my high school students called me fat. And I cried like a baby after class. I had fooled myself for a long time that I wasn't overweight. Plus, I weigh more than my boyfriend. I HATE that lol

Skip it. The whole "If you don't eat enough calories you won't lose weight" thing is true if you are consistently under; if you reach your calorie goal every other day, then it will not hurt you to go low once in awhile. But have a good breakfast planned-you are gonna wake up HUNGRY!

Joining this will help. Writing down everything you eat forces you to recognize what and when you are eating. You might also notice patterns of eating when bored or stressed.

And I love those brownies and muffins, unfortunately sugar and sugar substitutes are not on there.
