If you can find an MFP member named fitgoat.... He is the keto expert. Keto did not work for me. I need carbs just not as many as MFP says I need. I try to keep mine below 140 a day. Also I try to eliminate refined carbs.

Weigh every single thing... Double check calorie counts, MFP data base is notoriusly bad. Do not measure anything in cups or when something says a medium. If possible scan the bar code. Ask your Doctor about Contrave. This med is a mircle drug for me. I would binge eat 4 or 5 times a week. Contrave has stopped them completely. Also stopped my eating at night.

You might talk to a dietician or a professional in the field.

Read about foods that are high on the Glycemic Index. Avoiding these foods has helped me keep my BS in check. Plus it helps with weight loss.

You might consider seeking the help of a therapist. One helped me to discover my deep seated need to stay fat. In my case it was from childhood. I did and do the same thing you do. Only now I no longer beat myself up for it.

Ok this is not going to be well accepted here on MFP... Personally I was to the point of either surgery or drugs under a Doctors Supervision. I chose the drugs. I am on Contrave and it is a godsend for me. You still need to eat at a deficit to lose but Contrave has killed my cravings. Ok let the hate begin....LOL

Interesting study... I think I will try it as I am a T2 diabetic, not as a weight loss supplement.

I was doing very low carb.... Less than 20 grams per day. I have recently realized that 20 is too low. So I am now going to increase carbs to 50 per day. But I will never go back to the 200 per day recommended by MFP.
