You had good self control because that food looks so good. What I like about this is you got your food for later which met your craving. You knew you could eat whatever your family ate but just not at the same time. A very good lesson for me. It will help whenever that happens to me and I know it will.

I was stuffed so I had to spread the food out some. The body adjusts once it gets used to eating this way. I remember I added one half of a peanut butter/jelly sandwich to meet my calories for a little while at your suggestions.

Awesome!!

Oh, I forgot.....I save more money eating this way.

My scales were a cheap buy from a drug store. I can get into some clothes that I haven't been able to wear in a good while. That's success. As far as how I feel eating this way....more energy, sleeping better at night, and no afternoon slump.

How much of a calorie deficit could I go? I'm usually eating around 1200.

Thanks for reminding me not to overdo it on exercise. I forget sometimes. I've always been told the opposite is true but the way you explain it makes a lot of sense. One thing I've learned about me is that if I drink a lot of fluids throughout the day I very rarely get hungry. I haven't weighed myself yet because my scales…

I see how you're adding that sandwich in to bring up the calories like you explained to me. I'm doing that tonight. My menu is posted for the day if you want to look at it. I don't have anyway to post a photo but you can read what I'm eating.

Wonderful news! Here's hoping you will be drug free in no time.

Terrific job and thanks for the advice!

I don't use a cell phone so I can't post. I had homemade chicken vegetable soup, a baked potato with broccoli and cheese. Around 1,000 calories

Congratulations on your success! You look great. I read somewhere on MFP that you need to drink a lot of water so the skin doesn't hang. I don't know if that is true or not but it does make sense.

I've been wanting to give this a try ever since I read it in your post. I don't like the taste of a lot of foods and was wondering how bad apple cider vinegar tastes. Did it cause you to gag?
-
Thank you for being brave enough to share your story. You are an inspiration to so many here at MFP. God bless you on your journey to health. I'm sure your sister would be so proud of you. Take it one day at a time and you will make it.

I didn't know how important fasting is and how it's a health benefit. My parents had alzheimers and I've always been fearful of getting it too. A real eye opener for me. Also, that it takes 12 hours of a fast to begin burning fat. Thank you!

You look great! Congratulations!

I never thought about animal hibernation compared to human eating patterns. Very intuitive.
