  • I'm a few weeks ahead of y'all. I did Max Interval Circuit. That *kitten* is BANANAS!!! Crazy moves and 60 minutes! Burned major calories and enjoyed the crazy. Can't wait to see some of y'all's reactions!

  • I did the Fit Test- since I'm not following the calendar and had been just recycling the first series of workouts since April 8, I decided to do my 3rd Fit Test and start Max Intervals tomorrow. Three weeks until I go home for a summer break. Hoping to lose about 5 lbs more by then. Fit Test results were good (especially…

  • I just finished Month 1 today I did Cardio Power and Resistance. Since I took off last weekend for the MUN trip to Seoul, I'm starting the "recovery week" tomorrow. I'm going back up to Seoul this week for some professional development classes so I'm hoping that there is a gym or at least some decent padding in my hotel…

  • I'm responding to a couple of things on here. 1) HRM: I use a Mia Motiva wrist unit. It's not as precise as a good high end HRM but it's one of the best strapless ones. With my large bust, I find chest straps to be really uncomfortable and cumbersome. Since using a HRM, I've noticed that I've been more reliable and…
  • Only one more month 1 work out for me to go! I did Pure Cardio/Cardio Abs today!

  • I wear a heart rate monitor that keeps track of my calories based upon my weight and HR. I input that because it's much more accurate for me.
  • Um... so yeah... I realized I started this thread too early!!! LOL. It's just now May 10th. Being a school teacher, you'd think I was more up to date with the calendar (only 21 more school days left!). :-) So the workout I posted about above was really my May 9th work out. I'll update later today when I get a chance to…
  • Another 2.6 miles in this morning!
  • I wear a HRM because I definitely still feel it working harder than what MFP says yoga is. I just added it in as my own exercise for recording.
  • Fit Test Results Fit Test #1 (8 April 2013) Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep) = 52 Power Jacks = 37 Power Knees = 48 Power Jumps = 10 Globe Jumps = 6 Suicide Jumps = 14 Push Up Jacks = 14 Low Plank Oblique = 20 Fit Test #2 (22 April 2013) Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep) = 59 Power Jacks = 50 Power Knees = 67 Power Jumps = 25…
  • Hi! I actually started Insanity April 8th and have followed the suggested calendar pretty closely, but with my teaching and traveling schedule, I haven't been able to follow it exactly which irritates my Type A personality but oh well. I get in at least 5 of the 6 work outs every week. In month 1 I've lost about 5 lbs and…
  • Yeah, I'm glad to work at an international school here. Because we're a boarding school on Jeju, we don't have the same number of kids going to hogwons as the other schools do and the parents are starting to actually see how not being in a school for 12 hours a day is actually a good thing for their kids!
  • Pure Cardio kicked my butt today! :-)

  • Just joined this group, but I've been walking 2.6 miles every morning with a coworker so I'm already in for 15.6 miles in May so far!
  • Ha ha!!! LOVE IT! Anytime I hear that song I'm instantly motivated!
  • When it comes to healthy activities, nothing beats Jeju. When it comes to eating healthy (or at least being able to more accurately track it!), I miss Whole Foods back home! :-) I'll be in Jeju until June 2014 for sure. I'll decide this fall if I'm signing an extension to my teaching contract. What's everyone else doing…
  • I found a way to make the rest of my school year calendar fit with the rest of Insanity's calendar so that I wasn't just repeating Month 1 over and over. Technically I've been doing Insanity for over a month now almost daily as prescribed. With my scheduling revisions I'm starting week 4's circuit on Thursday. Did Pylo…

  • End of the school year plans and schedule changes have really messed with my ability to follow the calendar laid out by Insanity. I've just taken to repeating Weeks 2 and 3 for a while until I can fly home for the summer. I'll reward myself with Month 2 then. LOL. :-)

  • Argh! Frustrated that I missed two days in a row (Fri and Sat) due to school trip. I think I'm just going to start week 2 over (I was in week 3 but starting over with my Fit Test seems weird) and then repeat week 3 so that my Fit Test is two weeks after my last Fit Test. Monday's a new day.
  • Ha ha! I thought that was just me too! Cardio Recovery is a killer b/c the moves are more static. I often have to stand and shake it out before going back into the position.
  • Wow!!! So is this your 3rd time around? Do you have before/after pics? That's amazing!
  • I use a HRM monitor b/c I know my calories are much higher since I'm not as fit. But before I got the HRM, I put it in as a combo of circuit training and calisthenics.
  • Just this week I added walking with a neighbor. We walk 2.7 miles in about 40 min. It's a great way to start the day. I do Insanity in the evening after the school day. At night I do a 10 min PM yoga stretch that I got from iTunes that is a nice way to just stretch it out and relax. Just make sure you're eating enough…
  • Where'd everybody go?? Day 17: Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. I feel as if I did a **little** bit better on Cardio Abs this time around. :-) Baby steps!
  • Phew! Back on track. Day 16 completed today!
  • That's probably not a bad idea. I think I would've done better the first week had I worked up to it. But then again, there's something to be said for just jumping in and doing the best that you can do.
  • Oh man! The fates conspired against me to get my Insanity workout in yesterday. Day 16 today instead! But I didn't feel too bad for missing b/c a coworker and I have been power-walking every morning this week. 2.7 miles/40 minutes around our apartments. It doesn't sound like much until you factor in the hilly terrain of…
  • I did my 2nd fit test last night too! I had improvement in all areas, but not as much as I'd hoped for in some. I was just beat by the end of the test so my push up jacks and low plank obliques weren't spectacular. :-/ Day 16 today! Pylo Cardio Circuit!
  • Good job! I enjoyed my day of rest! Fit test tomorrow!
  • Just finished day 13: Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs. Oh. Dear. God! I couldn't do half the Cardio Abs workout and my core still is crying! So looking forward to a day of rest tomorrow and excited to see what progress I've made on Monday's Fit Test.
