  • I totally agree with the vitamuffins! Only 100 calories. Regular boxed Devils food cake muffins are a good switcheroo too, you can make it with diet coke instead of oil. It's cheaper than the frozen food options, and less fat than regular cake. Don't make a cake though, make the muffins so you keep portions in balance.…
  • faerie88 you are at my dream weight how did you do it? I'm also 5'4" and am currently resting at 117, I see that you lost alot of weight to get there. Any secrets to help me look awesome like you?
  • I got a Gold's Gym elliptical from Walmart with my "stimulus" money a while back. It was a mid grade and cost about $500. I've used both treadmills and ellipticals and I feel that you burn calories faster with the elliptical. I still have a gym membership to use the fancy ellipticals, but mine works well when I'm snowed in…
  • Thanks for posting. I actually feel motivated right now from reading the preview! That's what I needed. Unfortunately I'm probably a lion and just need to run faster than the slowest gazelle, but better than not running!
  • I may not have the answer, but I want you to know you aren't alone. Stay strong! I know it is frustrating right now, but you are making a change for the better. Here are some thoughts that might help. Try mixing and matching, everyone's body is different and it takes a while to find out what works for you. 1) Maybe you…
  • Sadly, I'm just now trying to lose what I gained in college. I'm happy you are already getting a jump on things. I think the stress of school, plus the availablity of alcohol sometimes cause weight loss in college to be difficult. I wish you luck!
  • Probably the best place to start is track all your food on this site as you would normally eat. This would give you a baseline of what you have been doing. It was a real eye opener from me to see that I was normally eatting about 3,000 calories a day when I was supposed to be limited to 1,200! This site will help you set…
  • Thank you everyone for your help! I'll try to mix up my activities a bit better and I'll check out the link later today!
  • Sure, I'd love the push over the edge so here is some more information. I'm 26, only 5'4", I make sure to stay within my 1,200 calories a day usually eatting my exercise calories. My usual exercise routine consists of 30-45 minutes on the elliptical in the morning I've started increasing the resistance these past two…
  • This happens to me alot! It doesn't matter if I eat before, after, during, or how much water I drink. I do believe if you buy the more expensive vitamins like Centrum it helps. Also, some vitamins will now mark on the label that they are "easily digestable". I"m trying to save money so I buy the generic ones and push…
  • Thank you for posting! I think this is helpful information!
  • I don't even know where my abs are, so I guess I should probably join this challenge too. I"m in!
  • I had this experience yesterday when I was craving a brownie. If you are craving cake see if you can get some Vitatop muffins from your grocery store. The deep chocolate one helped satisfy my chocolate craving and kept the calories under 100 for the snack. Just thought I'd share this tidbit in hopes that it would help calm…
  • Along with the thermos (which is a great idea!) you can also try mixing it up a bit. Try adding yogurt, string cheese, crackers, poptarts, etc. Who says you have to have a "standard" maincourse. Calories add up no matter what you eat just look for things that can be eatten cold or at room temperature. Look for things you…
  • Hi there! Wow you are a busy woman. You remind me of a news article I read a while back about super moms! I know walking sounds like too easy of a work out, but you need to get something in so why not start there. Maybe squeeze in small workouts like 15 mins in the morning, 15 mins around lunch time, 15 mins at night.…
  • I agree with sweetgl. No matter your activity level you should not go below 21 points a day (otherwise your body will go into starvation mode) and you get 35 extra points a week to allocate where ever needed. About 182 points a week. When I was doing it I was allowed 24 points a day. Honestly though, I think calorie…
  • I"m very new....just started last week and am looking for other focused people!
  • Hello! I've also just joined the struggle to maintain. I wish you luck!
