  • I'm vegan as well and have lost a fair chunk of weight like yourself. If you need a support system then check out the groups. There are tons of us! You can also add me as well if you need vegan friends on here :D Congrats on the loss!
  • I found when I drank diet soda I craved sweet things like crazy. When I got it out of my system a year ago, my cravings dropped dramatically. Not drinking it has helped me control my sweet tooth quite easily. Plus it's not exactly healthy for you. It's a hard habit to kick, but you feel so much better for it!
  • I donated what I could to the food bank. Asked anyone that I knew if they wanted the items that were opened (like honey) but I couldn't donate, and the rest I threw away.
  • I don't think juicing should be done to lose weight. It is a way of injecting concentrated nutrients into your system without slowing down your intestinal track with digestion. It flushes out built up toxins in your system, and extra water weight and fecal matter. The weight you lose initially is only poop and water, not…
  • I started out at 339 and now I weigh 212 and I am 5'8" tall. Been morbidly obese for 15 years, my entire adult life. I didn't know any other way to be until recently with the weight loss. My goal is 140-150 lbs. but I will take anything under 165 (my healthy BMI range). I am an emotional eater and a stress eater. If I can…
  • I was 339 pounds when I started running. You move slow and you take smaller steps, but it is completely doable. I researched how to run before I started. I wanted to know the proper form, how to warm up/cool down, and what NOT TO DO while running that could cause injury. The heavier you are the more careful you have to be…
  • I live out by NASA in the clear lake area. Even though our address says Houston, it is much closer to Webster more than anything!
  • I started with the ninth, which got me hooked. I think it's a good place to start. My brother-in-law is obsessed with Dr. Who and has all 27 seasons on a little blue portable hard drive conveniently named the Tardis. I grabbed them all during Christmas and I am working my way through them. They definitely take some…
  • I say go for it! These kind of second helpings are the good kind! I'm doing a TF/CLX hybrid program right now and I love the combo. I find doing the extra cardio gives me more energy and helps with the weight loss a ton :)
  • Enell Bra's all the way. I'm a 38DDD and I do finess and running with NO BOUNCE in these suckers. Tried Moving Comfort and I was sore afterward. Nothing compares to Enell! It's an investment that is worth the price. They sell them on Ebay for $40 with defects. A snag here or there supposedly...I have yet to find a defect…
  • Yeah, I had a meal about a hour beforehand and I've done the workout before without it feeling like I was lifting 50 pound weights with every move. It must have been mental. Oh well, today is a rest day and I am soaking it up!!!
  • I play every few months when the "I'm burnt out on WoW" feeling dissipates. I met my husband in WoW 6 years ago and we've been married for 4. Moved to another country just to be with him! That game is great but so all encompassing. It's hard to have a life and play that game as much as I want to.
  • I started out 189 pounds overweight. Looking at that number is daunting and overwhelming. The amount of times I quit because I might have made a mistake or felt guilty about something that I ate made feel like "what's the point" and I would quit shortly thereafter. I have lost 96 pounds so far and I still have a way to go,…
  • Already joined :)
  • I've already changed the program with the burn phase. I noticed that one burn circuit will be the only one all week, so I've switched between all three of them. I don't want to get bored. I'm sure I'll end up doing that with the lean phase too if I feel like it's too repetitive.
  • Morning everyone! I'm also doing Janelle's version and I just finished week two. I originally started out with just CLX combined with running, but after 1 week I wanted more cardio. That's when I started looking for things I could do with CLX and stumbled across her hybrid on a random fitness blog. Luckily TF was on sale…
  • I'm doing Janelle's version and I love it. It was the first version I saw for the hybrid programs. I prefer the schedule she has set up to the 20 week one that comes with TF.
  • I hope this helps. I too have issues with staying motivated. The slightest bad thing that happens (a bad grade on an exam, a fight with my husband, my mom calling...) throws me off my game and I stop eating well and exercising. I have found in the last 2-3 months that since I log on my Facebook page daily (I'm assuming you…
  • I am so relieved to see I'm not the only one that gets underestimated daily caloric values. I think I'm going to go with what the other sites (they are reputable) tell me and see how it goes.
  • I do tell them how much I workout each day which is quite a lot. I run 30 min to 60 min (depends on training schedule) 3-4 times a week, Zumba twice a week for 2 hrs each time, Elliptical for 30 min and weights for an 60 min 3 times a week. According to MFP I'm moderately active because I am a student (I sit on my butt…
  • The adjustment still doesn't make sense though because according to MFP to lose 1 lb a week I should eat the same amount as all the other calculators I've gone to say I need to eat to lose 2 lbs a week. The difference is 500 calories for 1 lb and 1000 for 2. MFP is off by 500. I want to know which daily caloric intake…
  • I am vegetarian and I make sure to eat olive oil every day to get in the amount of fat I need (learned this from Weight Watchers). I do eat eggs and cheese quite often too.
  • I've been taking a Zumba class now for 3 weeks (Tuesday's and Thursday's for 2 hours each time) and I've lost 7 pounds. You burn about 500-1000 calories per hour depending on the intensity, so stick with it because it works!
