  • My schedule; Mon: Weights Tues: Quality Run (speed intervals or hills) Wed: Easy Run (5-10km) Thurs: Rest day (usually take the dogs on a slow walk) Fri: Easy Run (5-10km) Sat: Weights Sun: Long Run I have a love/hate relationship with rest day. I spend all Thursday feeling a bit restless and anxious for my run the next…
  • Quality session today. Speed intervals on the treadmill for 20 mins, excl warm up and cool down. I'm not sure if I really enjoy the quality sessions. Maybe I'm not pushing myself hard enough in them. Does anyone else do hill/speed intervals?
  • Hi All! I'm Monique and 28 years old. I started with the C25k app, moved onto C210k and now on their HM app. I plan to do the Sydney Morning Herald Half Marathon in May (95 days, thanks SMH website!). I use their training plan during the week, and the above app for the long runs. I track it all with my Garmin,…
  • I have the same thing in my Garmin Forerunner 15. I bought it for the GPS mapping on my runs, but it also tracks steps and beeps at me if I haven't moved for an hour, so I wear it at my desk job.
  • Day 2 - I'm grateful that I have the skills to help friends and family in need. I'm often being asked to help with people's job applications and resumes, and I feel really good for them when it actually helps them get a job.
  • Day 1 Gratitude Challenge: I am grateful that my bf is looking after our bathroom renovation so I can get on with work, uni, amending his uncle's website and working out. I sometimes bite off more than I can chew and he's always there to look after me.
  • They make me feel sooooo sick a few hours afterwards. I often wake up in the middle of the nights with an upset stomach and the sweats after I've eaten them.
  • I suggest a housewarming. That way people buy you house presents ;)
  • Female Age: 27 Height: 165cm SW: 60kg CW: 55kg GW: Not sure. Think I'm more about body composition, so whatever weight when I'm happy with my bod! Calories: Around 1300 atm. Work-out Routine: running 10km x3/week and gym classes Been on here for an age now, but need some more active peeps. This came up at the perfect time!…
  • I just bought Jaybird Sportsband. Headphones that are flat, so there's none of that stick out business, and they're bluetooth, so that's amazing. Loving them so far!
  • I hope you're not using a straw with any of these smoothies. Dry socket is not amazing. Rice cream was pretty good when I had mine out. You could try a blended stew... making it a meaty soup. But really, I suggest you take it easy and not stress about what you're eating too much. I tried mushy pasta 5 days after my…
  • I worked on a distance goal - first one was 5km. Once I hit that, I set a pace goal, of under 30 mins. Then I set a new distance goal of 10 km... etc. Worked for me!
  • Grate veggies into everything! Carrots and zucchini in pasta sauces (or anything with a thick sauce). Grate onions and mushrooms into meatballs/meatloaf/etc. So easy, and generally the veggie melts away when you cook it.
  • Ohh, this site is fun. What about the abs AND squats challenge? Or the EXTREME squat challenge?! Too bad I can only get 1 more challenge in before I go on holidays. Happy to join in on whatever one you choose. 100 - triple digits - today. Go team!
  • Hi all My weight has been holding steady again. I need to be more diet strict. I just find it hard with all the limited fruit and veggies. I kind of just give up and let myself go 100-200 cals over most days just to make finding food I can eat and enjoy easier. Hectic at work at the moment. They're currently handing out…
  • My 75 is done, even though I did a trillion in my gym class this morning. EXACTLY a trillion and 75 done today.
  • I do my squats without weights. I do them wide to target my dreaded inner thighs. Just did my 70 after a step class and washing 2 cars (my little fiesta and my bf's monster hilux. urgh.). Little bit of struggle town.
  • I've caught up! Yay for 60 squats!
  • I completely forgot my squats yesterday. I was out late getting my hair did. So I guess I'll swap my rest day around and do them today. I jumped out of bed at 2.20am this morning to go to the gym. Got undressed. Looked at the time on my heart rate monitor to see how late I am (I'm always late). 2.22am. Stupid thing has a…
  • May have lost count and done 60....
  • I procrastinated over this for half an hour... but it was actually easy! Go team! My butt better look good after this.
  • Sounds like that's all managable! A few of my friends have GF and they're just careful to not let themselves get run down AND the cold. Apparently that's "just asking for it". I enjoy Bikram Yoga. Its 1.5 hours of NOT thinking about anything but what you are doing, and what you are doing is still hard, so it's challenging.…
  • Hi All! Day 2 of my lactose food challenge... yesterday I got a whole 1/4 cup of milk... woooo! Haha. Today 1/2 a cup. So far so good. Didn't have the best day yesterday diet/exercise wise. I refused to get up in the morning. Ate crappy all day. Realised I had an assignment due that night, so after work I dove straight…
  • Hi All! What a week. After my PT session last week, I had swollen arms, for 5 days! Seriously, they looked like legs of ham! So I kept to cardio until they settled down.... Then on Monday I had cramps. Not only did that suck, but I started getting anxious about not making my 5 symptom free days by Sunday. I really, really…

  • Yup! Dietician had bad news for me yesterday. Since I didn't have 5 straight days without symptoms she's asked me to stay on the Low FODMAP diet for another 10 days, and also lower the fat content of my food. If all goes well, I start my food challenges. If not, I start a low chemical diet which is far more restrictive.…

  • Shuttup! That's my home town! AND I was down there on the weekend.
  • Hi Everyone! Hooray, it happened! The scale is starting to move down again! I had a sneaky look on Sunday, and I had gone down to 53.9kg! Woohoo! Now I'm looking forward to Thursday ;) From last Thursday I upped my cals to 1500 to 1612, as per the spreadsheet method. That's the only change I've made... but I'm also not…
  • I invested in a good belt, and that gets me a little more use out of my clothes (tightens pants, cinches dresses). I only have a few more inches left to lose, and I'm saving for a European holiday (where I'm sure to buy a heap of clothing) so I'm trying extra hard not to purchase anything.
