Any idea why these are not working?

I am 5'11 - started on MFP on January 30,2012 at 194.4 pounds. My goal weight was 150 but am currently 136.4. I have taken up running and am preparing for my second 5k next weekend, you can do this!! I never thought I could and am still shocked when I look in the mirror.

Thanks!! I owe it all to MFP and the support from my friends & family. I really feel that everyone can do this! As for the cigarettes, it's my next goal. I want them gone by the end of August.

Thanks girl!!! I am pretty proud of myself because I never thought I could do this. I am 5'11. I did 7 weeks of P90x, then switched it up to Jillian Michaels, walking/running, spinning and various excercises. I have cut way back on my excersise though and only work out 2 - 3 times I week. You CAN DO it TOO!

I started January 30th at 194.4 pounds and today (5.25.12) weight in at 152.2 so a total of 42 pounds. I do think I have changed my lifestyle so I KNOW I will be able to keep it off. Good luck :)

The comments I get because I like to wear heals is so annoying. I bought a really cute pair of wedges and have worn them to work on occasion, people are constantly saying "that someone my height DOES NOT need heals" and I should be wearing flats! Anyone have a good comeback to this?

5'11 SW 194.4 on 1.30.12 CW 153.2 GW 150 I am shocked I have made it this far. I need to spend more time concentrating on toning though as my belly needs a major overhaul!

I am 5'11. My starting weight was 194.4 and I was miserable. My current weight is 157.2 (my weight this morning - only log my weight once a week) and my goal weight is 150 although if I stayed here forever, I would be happy with that too.

Thanks! I am definitely going to try your suggestions! My new goal calories is 1430 a day, that scares me but I can do it!! I am not sure my water intake can get any higher. I drink 10-12 cups a day! Like you - I work a desk job and actually eat fairly well at work but the weekends are killer. You can do this! I have been at it 6 weeks and it's getting a little easier as I see the pounds come off.
