  • Count me in too! I'm 50 in 2 years and have at least 50lbs to lose. I started today with logging my food and heading to the gym for a swim tonight. I have to do this! Being menopausal and also on medication for arthritis means that everything has slowed down but can't keep using that as an excuse! I have cupboards of…
  • Hi, I'd love to join in too - I'm 230 - devastated when I got on the scales. I am 50 in 2022 and my plan is to lose at least 50lbs by my 50th - hopefully a bit more and a bit quicker but trying to be realistic... Set my calories and back to the gym tonight to do an hours swimming to start off.
  • I’m in!! Started back this morning having weighed myself at 226lbs. Not really the weight that freaked me but I can’t stand looking at myself so decided to relaunch MFP, started on C25k and signed up for a half marathon next year. I have rheumatoid arthritis and was diagnosed last year and been using it as an excuse to eat…
  • Hot one out there this morning. Hay fever holding me back but did it. Enjoyed being out rather than on the dreadmIll 😊👟 24/6. 6.7 miles (10.9kms)
  • Late to the party but signed up to he Great north Run in September. Slow, overweight runner but still getting out 😊. Decided today that I was going to try and run every day up to September - even if it’s just a mile and then found this group!
  • Would love to join in :) Have 4 stone to lose and training for the GNR in September, with some 10Ks thrown in to help me focus. Signed up to a PT and going to the gym so work on health and fitness. Would love the challenge of having to sign in and be accountable :)
  • Great - still waiting for mine to arrive although for the last two days have been doing the routines she has posted on FB - the towel workout and the one with the planks which I thought were going to do me in! Have not managed to do the full routine but persevering and will get the planks at some stage!!! Am also doing…
  • Just ordered it today for next day delivery so I can start tomorrow night! Would welcome anyone to add me to keep each other going. Have also liked the facebook page which has lots of good ideas and hints and tips on it. Good luck, K x
  • That is great, I also did day 3 yesterday and feel better today - had planned on doing it tonight but husband took me out for an hour walk/march instead. Will do it first thing tomorrow. Getting better although struggle with the skipping. Keep going!

  • Day 3 completed yesterday (started late...), and ready for Day 4 - not as sore this morning and legs are starting to feel like they belong to the rest of my body again - getting through the routine now without stopping so getting there!! • Just finished Day 2 and can really feel it - felt better than I did yesterday though and recovery was quicker - downing lots of water and did more stretches after.... my plan is to try and do it every day at least for Level 1! Good luck - I keep hearing it gets better and you actually want to move onto Level 2 by the time…
  • Also started today and just about got through it - hate the skipping but don't mind the jumping jacks (not sure why....). Sweating and shaking by the end but glad I did it, set it up so can do it again tomorrow - preparing for the pain others keep warning about :) Day 1 done - bring on tomorrow!

  • Also did 30DS for the first time today - persuaded my daughter to do it with me, by the end I was dripping, shattered, shaking and wondering why I had started it.... but perservering, got it set up to do tomorrow and determined to stick to it! Keep to it, have heard lots of positive stories about it - preparing for the…
  • I'm in - was thinking about starting tomorrow, K :)
  • I've got the DVD and got to level 2 about 6 months ago - did love it but dark nights and mornings put me off - now the sun is shining at a reasonable hour I am planning on starting it from Monday.....
  • Sun shining in Dumfries, Scotland today..... let's see how long it lasts!! Need lighter nights and warmer weather to get out after work!
  • I did it for a few weeks last year - didn't lose any weight, can make up smoothies using fruit and juices/ milk etc on your own and eat 'real' food. Found it expensive as well. My colleague has been doing it for months and not lost much... Like anything I suppose if you follow it, you will lose - it has to work for you.…
  • Count me in too - brought my trainers into work today for the first time with that goal in mind - to walk for 15-30 mins a day when in the office, then more at the weekend, hoping with the nights getting lighter I will be able to walk when I get home in a few weeks as well. I live in the country so no natural or street…

  • I love it and am addicted - as another post said the more you put in the more you get from it..... I go twice a week and get a real buzz from it, the DVDs are okay but the classes make you work that much harder. I am over 200lb but shake as much as everyone else there - have found my fitness has really improved since…
  • Welcome to mfp! I've tried alsorts of diets etc and always start well and then fall off! I am 40 and have two teenage children - I was slim before I fell pregnant and can no longer use the excuse it was the kids as they are now 14 and 16! Like you my husband is great so I have decided this year it is for me, I have been…
  • New to this and have a job that I sit down in all day - still dark nights so will have to do most walking at the weekends - setting myself 40 miles, low compared to some but for me a challenge! Good luck all!
  • I'm here too - from Dumfries, Scotland :)
