A cue that really helped me was "pull the bar like taffy." It helped me to be more stable.

I thought a little bit about this the other day. So many people I talk to talk about how they just put meat and veggies in a pan and cook them and that's what they eat every meal. I really couldn't do that. I LOVE making recipes, casseroles, basically INTERESTING food. I just love it. i don't think paleo would be…

A crockpot helps too ;)

This. For me, the caffeine headaches lasted a week (I was drinking 2 cups of coffee per day). I didn't feel amazing in general until the two week time frame.

I say no. The reason I am logging now is because I am doing a nutrition challenge with my gym and have to maintain a food log for my trainer to review. Otherwise, I follow my own hunger cues which are fairly reliable. I eat when I'm hungry, stop when I'm not. I do my best to not gorge myself on fruit, but if I eat a little…

Well Fed cookbook and paleomg.com. I have almost never made a recipe that wasn't amazing from either of those two sources.

I am right there with you. I can't choke it down.

Well Fed is amazing!

I am doing a "Whole35" currently as part of a nutrition challenge with my gym. I think the most important thing to remember is that the first week or two is going to blow and you just have to fight through it to get to the good part. Don't worry about your macro ratios. Simply eat whole foods when you're hungry and stop…

My husband and I participate in a weekly church group at a friend's home where it's a potluck dinner We just bring our food separately in some Tupperware and eat it. Typically, people just don't make a big deal about it. I would pack your food and avoid the consequences later, particularly if it's gluten bomb type food

Coconut oil. HA!

This. Burpees got so much easier when I started jumping wider! Also, don't waste your energy on getting down on the ground gracefully. Flop if necessary HA!

Know that, eventually, the workout WILL be over. Scale as necessary. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Have fun and don't take yourself too seriously: laugh when you miss a box jump, joke about your weaknesses while working to improve them. You're going to love it!

I have one rule with cheat meals: never cheat with wheat. Other than that, I don't mind indulging in some sugar or some dairy (most of the time together) every once in awhile. Eat the sushi. Enjoy.

8-8.5 during the week, 9-9.5 on the weekend. I've always had major sleep issues, so I take Melatonin almost every night.

I agree with the PP: you need to give yourself more time eating strict paleo. It takes at least a week for the cravings to subside and for your body to adjust to less carbs, more fat and protein. Have you ever tried doing a Whole30? It sucks for the first week, but many say it's helped them finally commit to the paleo…

Eat more fat. Add coconut oil or olive oil to your veggies and meats. You'll be eating roughly the same volume, but adding some additionally calories.
-
I think it's normal and I definitely think you should give it more than 3 days. It was probably a month before I really got into a rhythm. As was suggested to PPs, if you're hungry, eat more fat.

I know a lot of people swear my IF, but I am not a fan. I am more of a "eat when you're hungry, stop when you're not" kind of person. Paleo for Women did a really nice blog about women and IF a couple months ago.…

Haha, thanks! I get so many compliments on the deadlift girl shirt. Everyone says "It's so YOU!"

Got it - thank you!
