I'd like to consistently workout 4 times a week - 2 lifting days, 2 yoga days. I have an issue with workout consistency. I'll go 5-6 days a week for 2-3 weeks, then take 2-3 weeks and do nothing. I've been plateaued at 160 for about 5 weeks, and would like to get to 158 by the end of June.

Do you have any time to squeeze in shorter workouts during the week? Maybe 10-15 minutes and have your longer workouts on the weekend. You could do a few minutes on the treadmill or some body weight workouts in that much time. That must be tough with the long commute, but if you can squeeze in a few minutes here and there…

I am new-ish at lifting, and I bought both these books (starting strength and new rules) and would recommend them. Haven't finished starting strength yet, but it's helpful so far. I follow the stronglifts program because it is really simple.

Thanks for the welcome :) And yes I have found that preparation is the key to eating this way. I cook a really big meal every couple nights and save leftovers to bring to lunch at work.

I gain 3-5 lbs for a couple days before my period, and a sudden 4 pound gain is probably not all fat, probably mostly water weight. Also you still need to watch calories when eating clean, you will gain with excess calories eating clean or unclean.

In the first 3 weeks I didn't lose any weight on the scale, but I lost tons of inches. Maybe see if you are losing inches, or if the clothes are fitting better? Fire 55 EZ has only 2 fire drills, so maybe thats why its EZ. Or maybe less jumping? Not sure lol. I haven't done 45 EZ yet, its scheduled for tomorrow though so I'll have more to compare.

I did it for the first time a few days ago, and I liked it. I used to take yoga classes and it was just like one of them. The only downside I could see is that it is always exactly the same. I have a couple other yoga / pilates dvds I might switch out for it sometimes.

I just got BBL, I'm mixing it in with turbofire. I was planning on doing turbofire and then BBL, but I decided to try bum bum and I love it, so i'm mixing it in lol. Anyone doing either, I would love more friends doing the same workouts :)
