Congrats on thinking ahead and preparing for your race! My advice is to run often.. Run 15 minutes before or after every workout just to get your body used to running. Running even a short time every day helps me tremendously when I'm preparing for a race. You can do it!

Hi Vicky! What type of exercise are you doing? I glanced at a few pages of your diary. You might try adding more protein to your breakfast (like an omelette or shake). I always agree that adding veggies is a great thing! Veggies make good snacks.

I use a Heart Rate Monitor too. I burn 300-400 calories doing Insanity, but you might burn much more. It's hard to know unless you've used a HRM. Mine is a POLAR. Got it for about $70. Just make sure it has the chest strap. Good luck!!! You can do it!

I haven't done the 6 days, but I did the program for 30 days. I enjoyed it. I was only able to SEE the results through my before and after pics. It wasn't too dramatic. I still use the sculpt and high & tight with my other videos.

When I did the program, I used selectable weights. 5-25 pounds and I could adjust them for every 2.5 pounds. They were about $120 for the pair, but well worth it to get the full effects of the program.

Have you tried varying your calories? For example, eat 1700 today and 1300 tomorrow which still averages to 1500 per day?

I totally agree! You did not burn 100 calories by vacuuming!! I bought a heart rate monitor recently and I'm shocked at how few calories I burn. It's a little sad, but at least I know the truth!

I love ChaLEAN Extreme. The weight training is very basic. You stand or do lunges and squats. The cardio portions have a little jumping, but nothing you couldn't modify.

Go!! You can modify it to fit your needs. If they do 60 seconds of a move, you can do 15. Just pace yourself in the beginning! You'll see, even the people in the video can't do it all!
