  • I may jump on board after this all day nausea goes away. I haven't been to the gym in a month (Yikes!) but hoping to at least start walking soon. It's great that you are still motivated to workout, mine seems to have flown out the window:( Keep up the good work!
  • Thanks everyone!! Very helpful...I have pretty much stopped working out since I have been so sick, but hopefully in my second trimester I will be a little more up for it. I'm setting my calories to maintenance and will see how it goes!
  • I would try a liquid form of probiotic and possibly a good digestive enzyme supplement. There are tons of brands out there for both so I would visit a local health food store and consult with someone there since they are usually pretty knowledgeable about that sort of stuff...hope this helps:)
  • I'm from Louisiana and I've been vegetarian for 22 years (i'm only 28 now)! It is hard finding good restaurants in the south that I can acutally eat at..so I've learned to be a good cook!! But there are a few of us down here. I just try not to talk about it with too many people because I get asked lots of annoying…
  • You may need to visit another ER for some IV hydration and possibly a hospital that has OBGYN services. I would also schedule a follow up appointment with your obgyn doc asap. ER doctors are good for one thing--acute injuries/problems they are not specialists. You need a specialist.
  • My fasting blood glucose is perfect. I check it often at work. usually around 75.
  • I have been a vegetarian my entire life and I have found that even most healthy foods can be calorically dense. A calorie is a calorie no matter if it comes from an apple or a candy bar. The key is to eat lots of high-fiber and high-protein plant based foods like beans, nuts and whole grains. I also supplement with protein…
  • I love her!! Everything she just said there makes total sense to me!!
  • I pack my own lunch every day for work so I'm a pro. First buy some pyrex containers..they are the best for storing meals. I usually cook a pot of soup, beans, pasta/spaghetti or anything substantial that can serve as a meal and maybe a small salad..then I cut up different fruits and make a large fruit salad that i can put…
  • It's not possibel to gain 4lbs of muscle in a few days..its probably water retention due to hormone fluctuation or too much sodium in your diet. I can flucuate about 3-4lbs throughout the month..especially around my cycle..also one salty meal can cause you to gain it overnight.
  • Spanx? lipo? I can be so skinny and still have a belly..its genetic:(
  • Think thin bars and cliff builder bars have no artificial sweeteners and are the best tasting protein bars ever!! I buy them at whole foods and smoothie king (about 210-230 calories and 20g protein per bar). If you have a whole foods or health food store near your home try there for products without artificial sweeteners.…
  • I have read this book cover to cover several times over the years..It makes a lot of sense scientifically but it is pretty restrictive and hard to follow long term..at least for me. It classifies foods as beneficial, neutral and "bad" for your particular blood type. It is great to jumpstart weight loss and is healthy for…
  • Sun Warrior brand is raw/vegan and sweetened with stevia..It is used by lots of vegan athletes, etc..it tastes great and I've had the chocolate..it is a little expensive but worth the quality. I got mine on amazon.com..
  • typically the smaller you are the more your weight will fluctuate due to water retention. I know because I am exactly the same size, have been working out with a trainer for months and my weight will fluctuate 2-4lbs a week especially during PMS. I doubt that it is muscle gain because that much muscle growth doesn't happen…
  • Awww thats so awesome!! Sooo very happy for you..its a great feeling!!

  • honestly it is 80% what you put in your mouth and 20% exercise. and weight training in my opinion is better than cardio!!
  • This is really my biggest downfall with my diet. I have a stressful job and many nights me and the hubby enjoy having a few while we cook. I have really cut it down to 2 or 3 glasses of wine when do drink (which is about 3 nights per week). Its hard though. I know it sounds aweful but I just try to go to bed without eating…
  • I really appreciate this info!! I am 5' 2" 122 lbs and trying soooo hard to get back to 115lbs. I've been working hardcore doing mostly weight training with a trainer for about 3 months now and have not dropped a single pound. I am starting to get really discouraged. I have started incorporating more cardio because I am…
  • Honestly the best thing that you can do for yourself is invest in a few sessions with a trainer. They can teach you so many moves and really help you target your problem areas. Also you MUST switch things up..often. Don't do the same exercises every week and keep your muscles guessing!! This is how you get amazing results…
  • Hey I'm Danielle! I'm 27 and new to the site as well...looking for friends:)
  • Okay, after a little more searching I found it. It is a new method out of Japan called Tabata (aka the best fat burning workout of all time)..It consists of a 3 minute warm up then 8-20sec intervals, then a 2 minute cool down totaling 8 minutes....My trainer has one of the most smoking hot bodies that I have ever seen and…
  • Try Greek yogurt..It has the best texture, its more like pudding or custard (I am weird about texture too). Most greek yogurt is higher in protein than any other yogurt and lower in sugar..but always get organic yogurt since it doesn't contain dangerous hormones or antibiotics...my trainer recommended it to me several…
