New hardcore 8 min cardio routine??

My trainer recently told me about a new 8 min cardio craze that involves doing 20 second intervals. She says that it has been shown to boost the metabolism for 2 days after the workout. We are supposed to try it tomorrow and I wanted to look it up on google but I am having trouble finding this workout. It has a specific name....has anyone heard of this???

  • Okay, after a little more searching I found it. It is a new method out of Japan called Tabata (aka the best fat burning workout of all time)..It consists of a 3 minute warm up then 8-20sec intervals, then a 2 minute cool down totaling 8 minutes....My trainer has one of the most smoking hot bodies that I have ever seen and she is extremely fit..She tried it the other day and was sore for days after..I am doing it tomorrow so lets hope I can live to tell about it...!! :)
