I wouldn't wait any longer than 48 hours. If it were me and I'd had a wonderful time and wanted to see the guy again, I'd be sitting around waiting for a text straight away haha. Each woman is different though :)

Protein helps in building muscle among other things, and I've noticed most people recommending to drink it within the 30 minutes after you finish exercising, so I'd say after weights.

Lipton do an amazing vanilla green tea. Just try not to make it too strong :) I started off with honey in my green tea to make it taste better, but eventually cut the honey out because my sugar levels were out of control.

I can only speak out of experience, not out of any medical facts, but I also suffer depression and anxiety. I go through episodes of binge eating and then days where I don't eat at all (usually after a weekend out on drugs, to make matters worse.) I've actually found that going to the gym on a regular basis not only…

I'm a chocolate addict, so when I get chocolate cravings, I make up fondue and dip fruit in it :)

MOST protein powders contain as much sugar as they do protein. Your muscles need the protein after a workout to build muscle. Even if you don't want to be muscly, the most muscle you have, the more calories your body will burn during the day because it needs to keep that muscle active. It's great if you need a quick snack…

I'm on 1200 calories a day. It's easy once you work out what you should and shouldn't eat, but it was definitely difficult at first. That's what getting healthy is about though, right?

2 words: diet cordial

You're allowed to eat your extra calories :) Your body burns around 1300 calories a day sitting around doing nothing. If you eat 1200, you'll burn more than you're putting in. If you burn another 300 doing exercise, you can eat another 300!

I've lost 9lbs and my boobs are still a D, but I have lost 2 inches circumference, which is weird...

If you're exercising every day & not starving yourself AND losing 3lbs/week then I'm sure that would be fine but a lot of people find (me, too, speaking from experience) that if you do it the WRONG way by eating too few calories and over-exercising, when you go back to a "normal" routine, you will put it all back on :(

"it's not about when you fill up, it's about how much fuel is in the tank" ;)

I know this doesn't answer the exact question you asked, but wherever possible you should always eat after exercising. In the 30 minutes after exercise, your body needs the protein to build new muscle.

I've done something very similar. I've been on a weight loss plateau for a few months now. After looking into it, I realised how much sugar I was actually consuming! I'm trying to eat more clean foods now.

It might be a good idea to consider changing your goals to 40/30/30. A lot of MFP members have recommended this and I'm trying it out at the moment.

WOW! What an awesome comparison! I admire your dedication. Keep it up!

My mother's the same, so every weekend I make an excuse to walk to the shops (because I don't drive) and I power walk there and back. I ends up being a 45 minute workout ;)

I put veggies in EVERYTHING. I always have snap frozen veggies in the freezer and I try to always keep baby spinach in the freezer cos it can be welted and put in ANYTHING. I'll put onion, peas, corn, grated carrot, baby spinach, zucchini, mushrooms and anything else I feel like in omelets. If I'm cooking up something like…

If you're not eating that many calories then you should be fine. It's not until you get down to 1200 calories a day that your body will go into starvation mode. You don't need to eat more or lessen your exercise. Maybe just double & triple check your inputs to make sure all of your stats are correct?

Welcome! This website will definitely change your life. I've been using it for around 130 days and I can't go a day without it now! It's completely changed my life around! I'm sure it will do the same for you :) Best of luck achieving your goals!

The difference is that if you do a longer workout, you'll move from cardio to fat burning. But really, it doesn't make a difference.

Strength training is a really important part of your exercise routine. Here's some information that my personal trainer emailed to me: "For every kilo of muscle, your body must burn at least 50 – 70 calories extra per day, just to keep that kilo of muscle alive. We're not talking about big, bulky muscles here - it's the…

It's extremely difficult to flatten out your belly from what I've been told, so try watching your sodium content so you retain less water. I don't know exactly which exercises target the lower abs, so hopefully someone else can fill you in! As for inner & outer thighs, the stationary bike and x cross trainer have worked…

I went through a stage where I smoked every day and I just got so fat. That was a few years ago now, though. I haven't smoked regularly for a couple of years, only just every now and then. Not because of health concerns or any of that but just because my living situation makes it difficult (parents, eh?). Last week I…

Coke Zero/Diet Coke is great. No calories and it gives me my "sugar" fix. I won't touch normal pop though.

I used to have this same problem. I found that eating at specific times of the day actually really helps to curb any cravings I might get. I have something super sweet for breakfast unless I really don't feel like it. Usually a naughty cereal or Poptarts, or even canned fruit like peaches. If I'm craving savoury, I have…

Caffeine is great for your metabolism. The main "bad" thing about caffeine is that if you over-do it, you'll develop a sensitivity to it and end up with the shakes and anxiety-like symptoms every time you drink it, but diet-wise, coffee is wonderful. Just remember to drink a glass of water for every coffee you have because…
