If joined a gym with a body pump class and it is great. Group fitness works well for me and using a large dumbell really encourages me to add more weight. Also, there are a bunch of good weight lifting videos on youtube. Try BeFit in90!

age: 26 height: 5'7 or 5'8 cw: 170 lw: 155 gw: 150 Looking for a twin so we can motivate each other! I gain weight pretty slowly, but the flip side is that I lose weight slowly too. I carry most of my weight in my buns/thighs, but otherwise I have pretty normal proportions. Anyone in this area feel free to message me :)

I haven't been able to go to many workout classes since July began because of a different schedule and the 4th, etc, so I've been running a lot! Looking like my goal is very attainable :) Keep it up everyone - great work!

I'm going for a conservative 31 miles of running/walking (1 for each day in July) because I like to do other workout classes than just running. I've done this challenge a few times and never completed it, so I'm really hoping to make it this time!

This is a great thread! I'm 5'7 and 166. I've been on MFP on and off, but I'm hoping to stick with it this time. My first goal is to get back down to 156, which was my weight for most of college. Then, once I hit that, my final goal is 140-145 depending on muscle, etc. I would love friends in the same boat a me!

You can do it! Work through the pain! Popping an advil about an hour before class will help you get through it too. Sometimes, moving my muscles with cardio actually makes them feel better because they are a little warmer/looser. Not sure if that's true, but it may help you get through the workout!
