Hi all,

I'm creating a goal for myself and wanted to put it on the board to hold myself accountable. I bought a one month gym membership just to test it out and I'm seeing if I can really commit! My goal is to go to the gym (even for a short amount of time) 6 out of 7 days a week. Mostly, I'll be going to workout classes (especially TURBOKICK! I love it!), but just getting to the gym is important for me because I am actually spending money on it! My membership started for me this past Monday 6/18 and here's what I've done so far:

Mon 6/18: Turbokick
Tues 6/19: Run/walk on treadmill
Wed 6/20: Turbokick
(Thurs rest)
Friday 6/21: Zumba

Feel free to join in the challenge! I really want to meet this goal, so to keep myself accountable I'll be posting my workouts on here!

Meg

I'm going to keep a running list and add days as I go. Turbokick was fun this morning, but I'm exhausted! Only one more day until my first week is complete!

    Mon 6/18: Turbokick
    Tues 6/19: Run/walk on treadmill
    Wed 6/20: Turbokick
    (Thurs rest)
    Friday 6/22: Zumba
    Saturday 6/23: Turbokick

That is a great goal :-) I'm doing Turbo Fire's 12 week program which is also 6 days a week. I find myself wanting to work out on rest days now!

6 days a week can be very strenuous on your CNS, make sure you are both eating and sleeping well so you can recover each day.

Congrats on getting the gym membership, that in itself is a huge step in the right direction!!

Hi ~ I just bought Turbo Fire and excited to start the program. That's great that you want to even work out on your rest days. I thought Turbo Fire is a 20 week program. Keep up the good work.

Great goal, but looks a little too cardio-oriented. Make 3 of those 6 days be strength training. You're gonna love the way you look.....

I'm glad you guys love Turbofire! I'm assuming it is similar to Turbokick. Maybe I'll try it after this month's goal!

Congrats on setting a goal for yourself. I did something similar last month by challenging myself to do a certain something everyday for 30 days, with the end goal being to create a new healthy habit. I met my goal, but I had to cut the challenge short at around 18 days due to over-training which put me out of commission for several days. If I were to give you one tip, it would be to make sure you get adequate rest.

The Advanced Classes do make it a 20 week program actually! When the regular 12 week program is over, I'm starting the advanced classes and CLE together :-)
That way there's some strength training in there.

It sounds like it would be similar, look up Turbo Fire on YouTube and see if it's kinda like what you already do :-) It's very intense!

    Mon 6/18: Turbokick
    Tues 6/19: Run/walk on treadmill
    Wed 6/20: Turbokick
    (Thurs rest)
    Friday 6/22: Zumba
    Saturday 6/23: Turbokick
    (Sunday rest)
Monday 6/25: Turbokick; BeFit in 90 chest, legs, buns weight lifting

So, I already kind of broke my goal by resting on Sunday. I just had an activity all day and plans with my family that evening. BUT, I'm going to count that Sunday rest day as my rest for the 2nd week, so hopefully I can do Monday-Sat, which will be my 6 for this week.

I tried to diversify a little more this week with a yoga class and a really fun new aerobics class called S.E.T. It made more sooorreee this morning though! At least I still made it to Turbokick (it kicked my butt today).
