I really understand this. Ding Dongs are my favorite also, so much so my brother makes a joke of it and has a picture of me holding a box as my picture in his phone!

When I first started this process of losing weight and becoming healthier, I would spend so much time reading the NSVs and the "before and after" pictures for motivation. I still enjoy reading how everyone's hard work is paying off. Here are my NSVs for the week. 1. I ran 3 minutes straight in the C2K program....I know…

Excuse 1: "I don't want to be the party pooper that ruins dinner, I will eat with everyone tonight and start eating healthier tomorrow." Didn't I realize that most restaurants offer healthy options...no didn't even look at that part of the menu! Excuse 2: "Healthy foods are too expensive, plus I don't know how to cook…

I am 45 years old and 5'3 1/2, I started in Jan. 2013 at 165 pounds. I started the 1200 calorie diet eating healthy grains, ground turkey, fruits and veggies. I also worked out on the elliptical each evening, did Richard Simmons videos, or walked. I was down to 115 pounds by September. However, I felt I was too thin at…

I love Richard Simmons videos! I used them last summer to lose 50 pounds. One of the workouts I looked forward to!

I went from a tight 14 to a 6. Last weekend, I was weeding the garden in an old pair of shorts and they fell down around my ankles!

Although I needed to lose about 40 lbs., I never really focused on my weight. One night I was watching a medical TV show and a doctor took blood from a woman. You could see fat floating in the blood sample! I knew her diet couldn't be any worse than mine and that scared me to death. The next day I printed off a list of…

I am 5'3, started at 155 and now I'm at 129. I did this by increasing fruits, veggies and grains. I would eat a banana for breakfast (which worked for me since I normally don't like breakfast), yogurt or small salad for lunch, apple for snack. At dinner, I would eat a grain, lean meat such as a turkey burger, salmon, etc…

I am 44 and decided to start losing weight in Jan. after seeing some photos of myself. I started at 155 pounds (I am 5'3) and lost 23 lbs. just by eating 1200 calories, eating more fresh fruit, veggies, whole grains and exercising on the elliptical. I still have about 10 lbs to go before I reach my goal. I wish you all…

I like them raw or steamed. I really do like healthy foods any way, it's just choosing them when unhealthy options are there!

My favorite fast food...Wendy's apple chicken pecan salad. I just had one tonight!

Thighs first, which is good since that is where I carry my weight!

I actually look forward to working out! I want to run in a 5K. I had fun buying a new pair of workout shoes instead of cute heels.
