  • That's where you're wrong! Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos AND the new BBQ Heat Wave Doritos are vegan ;) I switched to a vegan diet in March of this year and I've gone from 160 to 130 lbs. My skin has become perfectly clear, I have more energy, and overall I'm generally happier and healthier. Best life style change I've ever…
  • I'm vegan and have my diary open! I'm just starting to log again tomorrow though, so nothing posted yet. Feel free to add me!
  • I recently found a reduced calorie high fiber pasta at Kroger that is 150 cal for 2oz of pasta and 13 grams of fiber!! Add Kroger alfredo sauce and 4oz of grilled chicken and I have a huge bowl of chicken alfredo for 290 and the fiber makes it super filling
  • Do you weigh your food with a food scale? If not, that is probably your problem.
  • I love Califia Farms vanilla and pecan caramel almond milk creamers. When I can't make it to whole foods to buy it, I usually buy the Silk Caramel Almond milk creamer from my grocery store.
  • Mine obviously varies, but an average day is: Breakfast: (185 calories) 1 slice Sara Lee bread (45 calories) 1 large egg (70 calories) I put the egg on the toasted bread with a tiny bit of light mayo (10 calories) Red seedless grapes (60 calories) Snack: Small gala Apple (60 calories) Lunch: (325 calories) 2 slices Sara…
  • I had the Nexplanon implant inserted in September of last year and had it taken out this past March. I bled constantly from the day after I got it in until the day I got it out. I was extremely fatigued all the time. I also gained 20 pounds, and I couldn't lose the weight. After taking it out I lost 15 lbs since without…
  • I literally do the laziest meal prep ever. Usually I pick about 5 different meals and prep about 2-3 of each type. I prep lunch and dinner for 7 days. Today I made: 1. Chicken Alfredo (360cal) Tyson Grilled & Ready Chicken, Ragu Creamy Mozzarella Alfredo Sauce, Kroger brand Low Calorie Penne Pasta, and some steamed…
  • Mine are super basic. I just cook some frozen diced potatoes from Kroger. I throw in a few cut up slices of Oscar Mayer turkey bacon and then add in eggs. Season with onion powder and garlic salt. I put the filing in a tortilla and add 1 tbsp of alfredo sauce and some salsa and roll them up! So delicious and filing.…
  • A small popcorn from the AMC without the added butter is only 225 calories. If you're really worried about calories, just bring in a 100 calorie bag of Smart Pop. I definitely prefer movie theater popcorn though so I just make sure to fit in into my daily calorie limit.
  • I'm currently in the process of transitioning to a vegan diet! Feel free to add me :)
  • I just tried the Dannon Light & Fit single serve greek yogurts and I'm in LOVE! 80 calories & 12 grams of protein! Nice for a quick snack or a breakfast on-the-go!
  • Trader Joe's vegan cream cheese is my favorite!
  • I think if you want cake on your birthday, maybe find a mug cake recipe and make it! Then you don't have an entire cake sitting around, but you still get to indulge! Or you could get some dark chocolate and melt it and dip some fruit into it! Strawberries and pineapples are even better smothered in chocolate :)
  • I just started eating 100% vegan last week and I'm loving it! Feel free to add me :)
  • http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009L5LH84?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00 This is the one I purchased! It has the same features as some of the more expensive ones but without that huge price tag! You can change the units from g, oz, lb/oz, ml, and fl oz. There's also a tare button that zeros the scale…
  • At first I was eating back all of my exercise calories and losing just fine.. but as I got below 130 it became slower. I actually raised my daily calories from 1200 to 1300-1400 and didn't eat back any exercise calories and started losing again though! Also changing up your workout can help as well! I went from elliptical…
  • 100 pounds in 8 months would be about 3 pounds per week. Most doctors recommend a rate of around 1-2 pounds per week. It will probably take you longer than 8 months to lose 100 pounds in a healthy manner. The most important thing is a calorie deficit. It doesn't matter whether you eat your calories in three meals, six…
  • Last year I was almost the same stats as you! I'm 5'3". I was about 137 and I went down to 126. At 1200 per day and 30 min of cardio 3 times per week it only took about 1.75 months! But I didn't maintain my eating and exercise habits so now I'm at 145... but my GW is still in the 124-126 range!
  • I've been drinking diet soda for a long time and the only side effect I've noticed was weight loss! Because I'm not drinking 70g of sugar 3 times a day anymore...
  • If you don't like diet soda, you could just buy soda water and flavor it with Crystal Light packets or the juice of a lemon or something like that. At first I thought I couldn't give up sugary soda but I realized that I was mainly just craving a carbonated beverage. I stick with diet soda occasionally and soda water! You…
  • Yeah it sounds like you should focus more on strength training/toning your body! There are some websites that calculate your bf% based on measurements you take of your body along with other information like height/weight/etc. Although not 100% accurate, it could give you a good idea! Also there are scales on Amazon that…
  • Yeah my boyfriend thinks I'm a bit crazy. I weigh every glass of milk and stuff. When I cook things like pasta, I weigh mine out and cook it in a separate pot so I know exactly how much I'm eating compared to his pasta I just pour however much. After using the food scale for awhile, I'm pretty confident in my estimating…
  • I weigh out pretty much everything. At first I was just logging estimates, but I find that I get better results when I weigh everything! The food scale I bought was only like $10 on Amazon so I think it was totally worth it. You don't need a fancy $50 scale for sure!
  • I second this! Save your calories for food! Also instead of eating 3 meals per day, I find it easiest to stick to around 1200 calories when I'm eating smaller portions frequently throughout the day instead of combining them into a few meals.
  • I snack ALL DAY! Some of my favorite lower calorie snacks are a handful of grapes, baby carrots with hummus, light mozzarella string cheese (50 cals!), or if I'm craving something sweet I'll grab a sugar-free popsicle for 15 cals! If I have more calories to work with I usually go for "mini" size Goldfish or pretzel thins.…
  • I use the Folgers Iced Café Vanilla Latte Flavored Coffee Drink Concentrate (kind of like the Crystal Light liquid stuff, only it's coffee) with 8oz of unsweetened almond milk! The milk is only 30 calories and the concentrate only adds another 5-10 calories. Sometimes I'll double the milk/concentrate and have a "medium"…
  • Try eating more calories! I went from 140 to 128 last year and I started at 1300 calories per day and didn't lose anything, but when I upped that to 1600 per day the weight came off very quickly! I also ate back my exercise calories.
  • I'm 5'3 and I was a size 5 at 135lbs but I've been losing and now I'm at about 128 and I'm fitting comfortably in a size 3 or 4 and my 5s are kind of baggy! (These are junior sizes!) And my shirt size is small!
