Please elaborate on the security risk thing. Unless you work at a CIA building or something? in which case, I understand you can't admit it... We all have differing opinions, yes, however when 99% of the western world would consider this a courtesy, surely you understand that your opinion might be considered odd?

There's a bikini thread too....have fun!

Doesn't really tick me off, but made me shake my head. I was chatting with my mom on the phone the other day and she mentioned my Grandma had been short of breath lately. My grandma has heart problems and has to severely restrict her sodium. Ten seconds later, my mom mentioned that she brought my Grandma her favourite…
-
I.....really? Glad I asked. I guess.
-
A bit harsh, no? Reminds me of the mommies that shake their finger at moms who don't breastfeed until their kids are 5 and feed them non-organic applesauce.
-
We need a dislike button. MFP oversight?
-
Out of curiosity, why don't you like it? I've always been taught it's common courtesy.
-
The hardest thing for me has been accepting a compliment gracefully. When someone comments on my successful weight loss, I don't know how to respond.
-
I'm allergic to shellfish, are you trying to KILL ME?!?! Hey, I just noticed the "awesome" button. WTF, is that new?
-
Dang it. Now I want one too. You can be the guinea pig and report back to us, okay?
-
Only an engineer, or someone close to one, would be that nitpicky. I know, I'm married to one
-
I might be interested in the hair colour diet! What does that entail for someone with pink hair?
-
Better hope OP never asks how you are. You might cause them a heart attack.
-
I'd rather someone say "I'm well" than "not well/ not good". Because let's face it, nobody actually cares how the other person is doing, it's just a polite thing to ask

I was on Depo and while I didn't have an issue with weight gain, I was unable to conceive once I went off. I ended up going through menopause at the age of 26 (Premature Ovarian Failure). Nobody will admit that DP was the cause, but not having a period for a few years must do something, no? Not to freak anyone out, but do…

-
Whoops. Sorry
-
Have you spoken to your doctor about your plan? That should be your first stop.
-
ahem....

Guacamole and lime tortilla chips. OMG

EXACTLY One of the funniest "compliments" I've heard was pretty house, nobody home
-
LOL I don't know. When my sister and I are having a discussion, I will often stop, pet her head, and say "you're so pretty". In that context, definitely NOT a compliment.

I'm rocking my mommy-mobile Mazda5

Sigh

If you'd described that scenario in your previous post, I think you would have gotten a lot more understanding. If some *kitten* is calling you anorexic and being a total cow, she deserves to be put in her place.
-
Whoops, it was a different thread where I mentioned him. Fred's getting lots of love today
-
Yup, this is the guy I mentioned. OP, he is amazing and inspirational and loves to share his journey. Please look him up.
-
Agreed. I suppose each situation would require a different response. In the case of my MIL, she's just a bit oblivious. It's annoying but I'd rather not have any tension between us so I've found a way to deal with her pushing that doesn't upset her right back. If it's someone who's pushing just to be a *kitten* then I…

A lot of cultures equate food to showing love. In most cases, food-pushers aren't doing it to be mean. My BIL yells at his mom after about the 4th time she offers him something, and I can see her face drop. It hurts her feelings and it breaks my heart to watch. I would much rather say "no thank you" 1,000 times than hurt…

LOL same with my MIL. She cooks vegetables to death, even after she takes them out of the can  Thankfully I've been in the family long enough to let it all roll off my back. She means well
