Did you ever think maybe you didn't just magically get better? Did you ever think that by taking pain meds you were self medicating your depression and once the depression was properly treated you no longer needed the pain meds?

Is that the thing about sugar free gummy bears? I keep seeing people mention them but just how they should be called sugar free hell bears. LOL Good to know.

Absoultely. Sore muscles hang on to water to repair the muscle breakdown. For example, after leg day I can see the scale move up significantly. Call me crazy but I acutally like when the scale moves up after a serious weight session because I know my muscles are working and happy!

Have you tried incorporating foods that you binge on into your daily budget? Perhaps that way you'd be less likely to binge. The most basic level is that it's calories in versus calories out. If you completely over indulge 2 out of 7 days and keep the other 5 so restricted that you're back at maintenance, it's all the same…

Your body can hold onto water and is probably the source of the weight gain. You should be drinking a lot of water (I know it seems counter-intuitive) -- hydration will help with your constipation and also help release water you've been holding on to. A swollen body part contains a lot of fluid and although your ankle…

Mine are under the muscle and doesn't effect (affect? I can never get that right) my bench press are all. Dips are funny cause the muscle makes them squish to the side really hard, but I laugh. I also didn't lose sensation. That varies woman to woman, but it does happen. I can see how that would be a deterrent for some.…

EW. Judge people, much? Not everyone doesn't care what they look like. And this is coming from a girl who never wears make up.

She's being aggressive and mean! There is a way to be blunt without being a total jerk about it. You can always do the "bite the bullet" tactic and just say "look, it's irritating to me when you comment on my body/food/clothes. Let's talk about what's really going on because I know you have more to care about in life than…

The exact same thing happened to me when I was eating 1200kcal and going to the gym like a lunatic some times twice per day. Eat more.

Amazing job!! Keep up the great work.

It looks like you get something (frappe, sandwich, etc) from Starbucks everyday. Set up a challenge for yourself and commit to one week (or a coupel days per week) without anything from Starbucks. Make your coffee and egg sandwich in the morning (it takes a couple minutes) and see how much A.) better you'll feel without…

Very interesting post! I'll try to keep this in mind the next time I'm at a restaurant.

If your weight is staying the same, but your body fat is going down then the only explanation is that you're maintaining muscle while losing fat. This is my goal! Who cares what the scale says!!! You're doing an awesome job. Start taking measurements and pics for progress. Water retention, hormones, digestion, etc all…

Hey Marcelo! Congrats on taking the first steps! That's the most important step! I don't think insanity is too hard. I'm pretty in shape and I had to sit as well. It was a mess and my form was awful at first as well. It's ok to take breaks. Just try to push as hard as you can for as long as you can. You will get better. It…

All the time. Try to make sure that you're not so strict in everyday life that you get these feelings of binge eating. I've found that if I am too careful about everything that I'm eating that I will go completely hay wire at some point. But, if I give myself a little wiggle room, those feelings happen much less frequently.

OMG Just LOL'd so loud at my desk I had to close the door.

Wrong. It's not "Bro-Science" It's the FACT that there are nutrient dense foods and calorie dense foods. You can eat whatever you want as long as your under your calorie goal but eating calorie dense foods will not provide your body the fuel it needs. It is also linked with over indulging. And ultimately, you can't obtain…
