Thanks guys, some great advice again. Never considered marriage counselling to prevent problems instead of dealing with them after they happened..... interesting idea for sure.

Offer to cook some of the family meals or help with the shopping, show them the good deals on healthy food and then show them how to make a delicious meal out of it. If they are not open to this then you might not have any other option then to try and moderate your intake and/or up your burn.

I do both, the scale makes me pay more attention to what I do, its like a daily reminder of how I am doing, though I never take the scale to serious cause I know weight fluctuates daily. My real way of keeping track is through my clothes.

Having your family's support is very important! I life together with my partner and while he supports me and motivates me, he refuses to switch to a healthy lifestyle that I need. I do not want to put him on a diet just because I want to lose weight, but we cannot afford to cook 2 separate meals every day, 1 healthy for me…

I have been thinking about getting one as well, still not sure which one, got some great ideas from here though so will continue doing research :)

Definitely keen :) I'm 23 and wanting to lose close to 20kg's. Have got some injuries which don't help the journey but trying to stay on track so could use all the help I can get :)

He sounds like a keeper :)

I know what your feeling, I keep going up and down. Definitely consider the fact it could be partly due to water weight! I have several injuries and thought I would never be able to lose weight if I couldn't do exercise, boy was I wrong! I recently spend 2 weeks in bed hardly being able to walk and I lost 3.7 kg's!!! No…

I have gained almost 20kg's in 3 years of being together with my partner. At first I maintained the weight I was at, already overweight but comfortable with my body, I wanted to ensure he stayed interested in me. But once we both started to get comfortable in the relationship and we both started earning more money we…

Enjoy in moderation, like you said you are not having it every day, so it's fine to enjoy it on a day spend doing activities like skiing! When I come across such a situation I log the ingredients separately and pick the highest calorie item that comes up when searching for it. After a while you might start to know how much…

Thasnk everyone for the feedback, I thought liposuction was for weight loss and had no idea that it was just for body sculpting. Today is day 4 of laying in bed without being able to do much, tomorrow I will go see my doctor again and see if she can figure out if my slipped dics have gotten worse in the past year or if…

Thanks for sharing, whats the ideal protein diet?
-
Thank you, might give that a try :)

I used to have an eating disorder and i guess i never really got over it, i still struggle with it daily, calorie counting is a real trigger for me so to speak.... i eat healthy but i still got that broken and sick mindset.... its really hard to diet without relapsing which has happend to often.
-
I used to log accuratly, i just havent for the past month because i was gettnng obsessed and taking it to far so my partner told me to stop, which is why i dont log accuratly now but try to log most... forthe past 2 weeks i have been trying to make some extra changes like no/low carb meals.... still trying and definitly…

Havent talked to my doctor yet wanted to do my own research first and see what options i come up with.

Can i ask what kind of things you did to lose weight? I could use some tips cause its obvious what im doing isnt working eventhough i thought i was doing things right.
-
Thanks guys i will do some research into the things you all have mentioned. Regarding the calories; i know i probebly eat more than the 1460 that i think i am, i will definitly try to start logging more accuratly again. Your stories about having lost weight without exercise has given me hope again that it might be possible…

I know someone who has had a gastric bypass but the limitations on his food choices afterwards i know i cant do, i cant give up certain things forever, so i know thats not an option. I am looking at the different types of liposuction and seeing if its worth it.

Im on 1460 cals a day as per mfp recommendations, granted i dont stick with it everyday, but i have had periods where i lost heaps of weight, but once i stop exercise it piles back on. Im on codine and several other pain meds. Im not giving up yet, thanks for the feedback and support :)

Thanks guys, i havent made a decision yet, just doing research and getting feedback. I have been on diet and do stick with my calorie goal but its not working...
