Hey I sent you a friend request. I have been logging about 2500 days and have lost almost all my friends. You can do this. I have regained about 25% of my total loss and am getting serious about tracking better again. I too suffer from physical injuries (13 surgeries in) all physical problems. It is very limiting and it…

Bravo! I'm sure you both are much happier and energetic. It hard to lose in our age group! Keep going strong!

Sounds like you have done a fantastic job in getting your weight down! I started at 233 and initially lost 85 lbs over a year and a few months. I have put on about 20 and need to get back down at least 15. I have logged in for several years now. I had a handful of friends, but they have left and I sure could use a few…

I hope you schedule surgery sooner than later. I tore my ACL and waited 3 years till I had a job with insurance, by then the acl was long gone and a lot of damage to the cartilage. They took a piece of my patella tendon or what ever lies on the front over my kneecap to fix it. Wow what a horrible recovery, still can't…

You rock! Congrats on a life change! Best to you!

I have bad issues with balance and after a couple of years at physical therapy, I have trained my brain. Start off with simple balancing on one leg focusing with your eyes open and then close your eyes while lightly touching a rail or table, counter top. You can train your brain and also helps with holding your core…

Keep up on PT! When allowed get to bending that knee. It also helped to walk backwards and also back pedal on the bike. Wish you the best for I am 22 years out from acl plus a couple clean-outs and 1 screw removed. They slung the knee too tight and I just spent 1 yr in PT getting my lower leg bones back in line ( 21 yrs…

Absolutely! Stem cell research and curative powers is amazing! My neighbor survived a blood cancer by using her brothers stem cells. Just amazing! Cancer will go the way of small pox and polio one day and be eradicated - mankind can only hope and work hard for this cure!

You can add me if you would like. I have had a successful year, but I have to watch it because I've been getting a bit slack on my eating this holiday! I lost almost 60 lbs in a years time. I have a lot of nerve and joint issues but losing has helped alot!

Nice! You must feel great! Keep on keeping on! :drinker:

Hold the Holidays.. don't gain more than 2 lbs thru the season. Last year at work, we had groups of five or six on a team. Then collectively the group could not gain more than 2 lbs. So maybe somebody gained three but everyone else lost a lb. Then the team with the most weight loss won the challenge. It was fun actually…

Definitely love this hrm! I'm so glad I can calculate what is near real! That is why I am awed by people who burn over a K in calories. It takes alot of work to reach that level! Of course I'm getting older now and this keeps me from blowing my heart up or stressing it for too long.

If swelling is present - ice it. Dont freeze the skin tho. The NYT had an article I read about what to do for sore muscles, they wrote that ice isnt as good as rolling or essentially a massage. Hey if it works...

Using my hrm - 55 min burns 257 cals. always around that range. I am 5-8 and 165 lbs and 50 yrs young. I try to keep my heart rate up between sets but the fitter I get the faster my heart rate falls.

I feel your type of pain also. I have CRPS/RSD in my right arm and hand due to surgery complications. Confused nerve pain signals that are really hard to keep under control. My father suffered horribly with post herpatic nueralgia (PHN) and for several years was basically incapacitated. Try doing some resistance band…

Go slow reinforce him with enticing goodies and train him to watch you. slow training and positive reinforcement with 100% recall would help. I bought a bicycle doggie jog or something like that that also had a quick release. unfortunately my dog went lame from an accident just before we could use it now it sits in my…
