  • It's perfectly natural. Your digestive system is expanding to accommodate the food you've ingested. Imagine how painful it would be if your body didn't do that.
  • My main staples at the moment: kale Greek yogurt strawberries (or any berries that are on sale) bananas rice cakes Boca burgers tuna fish eggs whole grain kaiser rolls vanilla almond milk Restocking: peanut butter pickles nutella pasta wild rice pasta sauces potatoes onions
  • I buy myself pins for my messenger bags for scale and non-scale victories. Usually they're not terribly expensive (usually $1-5 a piece depending on size), so it's a nice treat and a reminder for me to keep going.
  • I restarted because the clothes I bought for fall magically decided to shrink or something. Honestly, though: - i'm sick of being indoors, especially with no main PC in the house to distract me - regular exercise makes my limp not as painful, which means easier walking on campus :D - watching calories means trying…
  • 1.76 mile walk with some added sprints and hurdles in the middle through a rough terrain area. About an hour and fifteen of pulling weeds in the garden, which apparently required a shovel and a lot of willpower because they weren't letting go. Might go for another walk after dinner if the weather stays nice.
  • Balancing a healthy lifestyle, socializing, and a job to go back to school come fall? Bring it. Junior come fall. Biology.
  • Mine's set at 1360 but I eat back exercise calories like a beast. There's also usually a good variety because I'm pescatarian and tuna fish doesn't cut it.
  • Usually, we're in the trailer with no electric or water hook ups when we go camping in national parks, so I'll just throw some ideas out there. Our refrigerator runs on propane, but we always have a back-up cooler. We try to limit use of the gas stove, since having the heater is more important, so... campfire food! You can…
  • I recommend good shoes, stretching, and proper technique. Warm up your muscles before stretching before running. It helps make sure you'll feel how you're landing a bit better. Mine knees are destroyed from running in knock-off Converse before I could afford running shoes, as well as ballet and tap giving them quite the…
  • Moderation is better than full-on denial. Full-on denial leads to eating the entire tub of B&J's along with the entire box of Cheez-its. I recommend portion sizing them out (or even making baggies of only half-portions), so that you can eat them slowly enough for them to not be replaced quickly, but you can also enjoy them…
  • McDonald's fries (why are they not vegetarian. WHY.) and soda. It's so hard not to get a large fry and a large Coke to share with people I'm traveling with.
  • I've been craving a Five Guy's burger. I'm debating if I can stick enough mushrooms, onions, and pickles onto a Boca burger to make it taste closely enough to trick myself. Maybe if I slather it in A1 or something.
  • Peanut butter sandwich with rice cakes instead of bread. I can never finish it in one sitting. Greek yogurt (Chobani Flips, especially) Baby carrots Mixed green salads (lettuces + kale + spinach + cucumber slices + vinaigrette) Pitas and hummus I hear bread pudding works amazingly if you drink two glasses of water…
  • I try to catch off-season berries on sale. I immediately freeze them when I get them home. It keeps them from going bad and makes them perfect for tossing into smoothies. During season, I'll go strawberry or blueberry picking and pick somewhere between 10-30 pounds (I'm a masochist and like getting the awful sunburn…
  • I've come to think that it wants that low number to be your NET calorie goal instead of your calorie goal. Therefore, go ahead and eat that 1600, but work your butt off and make sure you're eating enough.
  • 1. 2% milk 2. Italian bread 3. Bananas I should change that. Carrots are in close fourth.
  • The legs and butt that years of blood, sweat, tears, and destroyed pointe shoes gave me.
  • I was doing it by being the crazy home-school kid that stayed up until noon. I'd jump a few fences and grab my running buddy at sunrise and we'd go. Now? I'll probably stick to 10am until the weather gets warm, in which case I'll start getting up earlier. Nothing sucks more than being late to getting to your run and having…
  • Some motivation to get back into running would be awesome.
  • Hot Pockets. Just...Hot Pockets. Letting myself be bullied into eating meat even if I know it'll make me sick. There IS a such thing as too many sunflower seeds. "It'll be better for running tomorrow..."
  • Vanilla Greek yogurt (can be subbed for a partially frozen banana) 2 cups blackberries 1/3 cup vanilla almond milk Using Chobani, it's about 270 calories. I can imagine a banana instead would have the potential to drop it, but using Greek yogurt makes it filling for longer. Dannon has a light and fit Greek that's less…
  • Oolong! It's very light and usually mixed with some form of fruit or flowers if you get it loose leaf (like at Teavana, they have this amazing oolong/chai blend), which means you won't feel the need to sweeten it. It's also very light.
  • I never early grow, since I don't have room under the grow light (it's taken over by massive tropical plants). Pre-planned garden for the summer, though: Green bell peppers Long hot peppers Pickles String beans (purple and white and green, oh my) Carrots (little and big) Radishes White onions Zucchini Tomatoes (various…
  • This NJ snowpocalypse! I just want to be able to go outside and run in my shorts and t-shirt without freezing crucial anatomical bits off.
  • I'm waiting for that miraculous quick drop. I've been off them for about a month with good eating habits and haven't seen weight change... then again, the scale's broken. I feel lucky that I only stayed on them for a bit less than a year and only gained 25 pounds from it.
  • I'd like to be able to run the Dragon Run 5k by September. It would also be great to have a flat(ish) stomach, but that's a muuuch more longterm goal with how I've been ignoring exercise recently, I think.
  • Sure, oh faceless muscular chest.
