Ahh YouTube...the place of solid, 100% factual health advice 🤦🏼♀️

Focus on compound lifts: squats, deadlifts, lunges, step ups, pushups, pull-ups, rows, lat pull downs, chest press, flys (there are machines for most of these if that’s where you feel more comfortable). Skip out on bicep/tricep/shoulder isolation exercises. No need to avoid cardio.

I’m a long time IVF’er...round 6 is in 2 weeks! Never has my doctor suggested that to me. If PCOS is the cause of your infertility, a lower carb diet (or weight loss) could be beneficial but high protein isn’t something I’ve heard associated with IVF.

I eat right up until I go to bed. If I don’t, I’ll wake up in the middle of the night hungry. And I’m maintaining on ~2300 calories so it’s not like I skimp on food all day.
-
My total calories eaten in after dinner snacking is roughly the same as my breakfast, lunch, and dinner calories.
-
I can’t eat the tiny shrimps. Gross gross gross. Jumbo or no-go for me!
-
Increase portion sizes of your usual protein sources.
-
My guess is you won’t be the only walker. Enjoy!
-
Freeze a bottle of water and roll your foot over it several times a day
-
A jump rope, a $30 TRX knock off from Amazon, a set of stairs, and bodyweight exercises will get you far.
-
Poor form, weak core, wrong shoes. Could be any combo of the three.
-
Focus on a calorie deficit until you’re cleared for exercise. That’s really all anyone needs to lose weight anyway.

Gaining strength is not the same as gaining muscle. Strength come from muscle, yes, but it also comes from your muscles learning to work together effectively to perform a movement. The latter can happen without a change in muscle size—especially in beginners.

Far less than 300 for sure. Compare it to jogging which would be about 300/30minutes. You’re prob burning closer to half that. *I know nothing about you, average person guesstimate here*

I marinate chicken strips overnight in Italian dressing. Coat it in whatever you deem clean (breadcrumbs, flour, crushed nuts) and bake on a wire rack at 400 until crispy (~10 minutes depending on thickness). Best adult version of chicken nuggets ever! I usually have mine with a sweet potato w/butter, cinnamon, and a bit…

I’ve used the Motorola s10 since they came out close to 10 years ago. They stay in place without ever feeling like they might fall out. I’ve worn them through downpours and dozens of 3+ hour runs. The battery life is great as is sound quality and range. They’re solid and you can find them for pretty cheap nowadays.

Box jumps and running stairs.
-
A cable cross machine

Calorie burn would be negligible.

I use Carbquick (Amazon). It’s like Bisquick but low carb, high fiber, high protein. You can add additional protein powder to the batter if you want. It’s just Carbquick, egg, and enough water to make pancake batter consistency. It tastes like regular pancakes.

Nuts? Low carb protein bar? I don’t see protein powder as unhealthy, especially if it’s a quick fix for your hypoglycemia.
-
I eat mine back usually in the form of chocolate covered raisins...lots of them!
-
Can you actually jump rope for an hour straight? After 20min or so my calves are done! IMO everyday is better than 3x/week.
-
A good estimate is 3 miles~100 calories
-
No reason you can’t do upper body lifts. Swimming could be good, too.
-
I agree with the above. Unless your friend is willing to hop into a healthy diet and exercise regimen, at least some of that weight will be put back on once she returns to her previously normal habits.
-
Are you weighing your foods? There can be a big caloric difference between weighing vs measuring. What types of foods are you eating? Perhaps you need more filling foods?
-
I just don’t understand what ever happened to moderation lol! I honestly think some people do these extreme diets for attention.

I make my husband lunches for the week on Sundays. Super easy and with practically no prep except slicing the peppers and tossing it all in a bag: Bell peppers w/ranch dressing Cheese sticks Summer sausage Almonds Once a month I make ahead and freeze a couple batches of: Meatloaf Meatballs Burgers Taco meat Pulled pork…

Work smarter, not harder. You’d probably get more out of an intense 1hr workout. My guess is you feel depleted because you’re dragging your body through 2hr sessions. You can’t possibly be working at your max ability for so long unless you’re taking long breaks between sets. Throw burpees, box jumps, or jump lunges between…
