I've been busy doing some work on the house, and got some decent exercise in recently. I am running in a corporate challenge on Saturday, and running in a 5k. I am so close to my goal…
  • MFP SW(1-1-13) 194 FSC SW. 162.0 W1 160.4 W2 160.2 W3 159.2 Down 1 lb, and into the 150's. I would consider this weeks weight a success.
  • I haven't forgotten this one. I plan on using it a bit later.
  • MFP SW: 194.0 FSC SW: 162.0 W1: 160.4 W2: 160.2 Only down .2 lb. This is a bit discouraging. I am going to have to work harder! I was really hoping to break into the 150's this week. Next week! I did not do well this week, so I am not surprised. Note to self: I must log everything, and put exercise higher on the priority…
  • I believe that we are at the week 2 weigh in still. We did a starting weight, then week 1, and this should be week 2. Please save week 3 for next week.
  • MFP SW 194.0 FSC SW 162.0 W1 160.4 Down 1.6. Not bad. Only 10.6 lbs to go
  • OK, this challenge doesn't seem to be getting any responses. If you want to do a different one, let me know. I'll start and see if that helps at all. For find a friend: I am going to start the calisthenics challenge I posted under the workout thread. Please let me know if you are interested in doing that too. My baby is…

  • I have a good calisthenics 30 day challenge, but I'm not sure I can post it. It involves push-ups, plank, wall-sit, crunches, and squats. Its not as intense as most of these other programs, but its a good place to start, and doesn't require moving around a lot. I like it because I live in a 3rd floor apartment, so I can't…

  • I will try to make the challenges generic enough to meet the needs of everyone in the group. See the first challenge, and I'll give away a future one. I haven't decided which week to use it yet, but I think I will semi-introduce it early, and have everyone complete it later. It will be called "Beat the Clock". In this…
  • I mainly wanted to be on the right day of the week, and figured I was in bad enough shape repeating wasn't a problem. I can almost do a real push-up. I can get halfway down for maybe 10. I've been doing 30 sec attempting real and 30 sec fake. What day are you on?
  • I started over yesterday, so I just have a few extra days repeated at beginning.
  • I just sent you a request. It is definitely a challenge. How are you doing so far?
  • I will start today. I can't wait until Monday. I am guessing for the missing day to add 10 squats and repeat Friday. Now I have to figure out baby including planks, squats, pushups, crunches, and wall sit. Thank you!
  • Can't get the link to work. I am interested, how can I get more info?
  • 1. Strength, endurance, and patience 2. Focus on Christ 3. To love God, and spend more time following Him. Treating my body correctly should naturally follow if I am following God to the best of my ability.
  • I don't know how old your lo is, but I recommend involving baby. Get creative. My lo makes a great weight, i lift and kiss him various ways. Plus there's tons you can do with the stroller. I also walk/ hike carrying him. He loves it. His favorite is the lift and kiss :-)

  • Also try carrying lo on their stomach or lying down next to them with favorite things. I used to only let my lo use technology on his tummy. He loves YouTube, and he felt better knowing I was right there next to him. I always carried him to the changing table on his belly too.
  • I agree. I find it offensive and sinful when Christians joke about all the junk food they are always eating. I tried to convince a ladies group to bring healthy food, but they were not interested. Apparently studying God's word goes hand in hand with eating excessive amounts of junk food .
  • Thanks for this. I agree. We must remember it's not just about losing weight, but about glorifying God. We can't fully do this if we are not taking care of the bodies God has entrusted us with.
  • My sole plan is to wean my lo before he can say "I want boobies" I'm guessing this will be around a year. His newest trick is to attempt to undress me in public to nurse. I personally wish for a bit more modesty. He used to try to nurse through the shirt, awkward if i didn't catch him in time... Especially when he left wet…
  • Accountability here we come. Can you say gluttany? Today was not a good day. I gave in to some serious cravings. I would love to weigh in. I started this journey 1-1-13. Cliche, but honestly that is just when I heard about it on Facebook. So far I have lost 20 lbs, and now I currently weigh 174. My biggest pet peive is…
  • Maybe you've gained muscle. Have you taken any measurements? Even though we want to see the scale go down the important thing is that you are healthy. Eat right and exercise, and its okay if the scale isn't moving. Change up the exercising too. Sometimes our bodies start to expect what we are doing, and it no longer helps…
  • If you can spare numerous nights sleep you can comfort lo and put lo back down, then when lo cries just keep comforting and putting back down. Eventually lo will be too exhausted not to sleep longer. But so will you. So you will need help to pull it off. If LO knows you are just going to keep putting them back down they…
  • It could definitely be attributed to low blood sugar, I've had this problem in the past. Eating smaller meals more often really helps, and don't skip breakfast. Make sure you are getting natural sugars and enough carbs. Hope this helps. You may not be eating enough, especially if you are breast feeding. Eat when you are…
  • I'm new on here, can someone tell me what TDEE stands for?
  • I just put mine in the food diary. I would add an additional 250. If it seems like you are not getting enough milk, or you feel like you are super hungry all the time up it even more.
  • 1-3 sets of 8-12 reps on non-consecutive days, 2-3 times per week. Lift weight for 2 seconds and lower it for 4 seconds. When you are able to lift the weight 12 times in good form, increase the weight by about 5% at your next workout and shoot for 8 reps. Progress in repetitions from 8-12 and then increase the weight again…
  • I've had problems with supply. My Ped recommended offering a bottle after feeding. If lo is really hungry lo will learn to take it, but it may take awhile. If he eats it all really fast and then pukes. He is extremely hungry, but he is so used to not eating enough that his stomach can't process it. If you don't like the…
