  • Same thing happens to me. If I get too hungry, I don't feel satisfied with an appropriately proportioned meal. I have a 1/2 hour commute and have found that if I eat a snack like string cheese or a yogurt before leaving work, I can make it to dinner without getting crazy hungry.
  • Same thing happened to me. Last time I ever worked out later at night!
  • It is a set of DVDs by Beach Body. It is extremely challenging, at least to me! A lot of jumping moves. It felt like a return to middle school PE hell, but if you are ready for a challenge this will do it!
  • This! :ohwell: What are you eating? Are you measuring or guessing? Are you using a heart rate monitor for exercise or using MFP calories burned (which are way off for me)? How much do you currently weigh and how much do you want to lose? How old are you? Could be a lot of reasons.....
  • Say WHAT?!?!:noway: Where did you even hear about seltzer with vinegar?
  • I say NO and so does my knee. I've always had a troublsome knee, but Insanity put me in phsical therapy. I even tried to not do as much jumping and it didn't help. Insanity is a knee killer, becasue it is almost all plyometrics.
  • I have always thought that women need a class on "How to poop" since most women I know have regularity issues, while most men I know can poop on command. I agree with the first response to see how much difference it makes before deciding. Or you can just decide you only weigh in the day after you go.
  • One week doesn't mean that much, so I wouldn't worry too much yet. That said, how are you tracking exercise calories burned? Are you using MFP or a heart rate monitor? MFP numbers are usually high for me, since I don't have a ton to lose and I'm a little older, so I go by the HRM numbers or don't eat all of the exercise…
  • Awesome! My biggest goal is for me to be able to randomly pull something from my closet and know it will fit. No more fat clothes/skinny clothes! :grumble:
  • Why feel guilty about indulging in PARIS?!?!? It is PARIS! Enjoy and move on. Change takes time. Would you tell a friend they should feel bad for enjoying some of the finest cuisine in the world? It looks like you are fairly new to the site. Give it time and remember you didn't gain weight in a few weeks, so it won't come…
  • So none?
  • Today is my 17th anniversary. Sigh. At least my man is a hottie too! You guys are edible! :smooched:
  • Please keep us posted! The Mommy Makeover is my dream! I used to think cosmetic surgery was shallow and vain. Now that I'm staring down 40, flabby, saggy, and stretch marked, I say "bring on the shallow vanity!"
  • I tried insanity and thought I was going to stroke out. :noway: But I'm just a little bit older than you. Do what you can and go easy when you need to. Trying to actually BE Shawn T when you start will kill you. But feel free to admire his sweaty hotness the entire time.
  • Me too! Super excited, but a little nervous.
  • Go to a different doctor. Saying you are lying is not helpful! Losing hair could be a sign of a medical problem. It could also be stress. Blood work would be needed to make sure there is not an underlying problem. A therapist would be able to help you with the food issues and anxiety. And if you have a history of only…
  • Would you make your food diary public so we can see what you are eating? Have you taken measurements? When you don't have much to lose it is slow. But the measurements may be going down, which means looking better!

  • :drinker: No wonder I love diet Coke!
  • You lost 29 pounds in a month!?!? :noway: Welcome to the site! This is a great community for support and advise. :flowerforyou:
  • Red Lobster has nutritional info on their site. http://www.redlobster.com/health/nutrition/dinner.asp You could estimate based on what they give for similar dishes.

  • NSV-non-scale victory Bump- a comment showing you are interested in the topic and want to be able to come back to it later. Commenting on a topic stores the thread in "my topics." If someone doesn't really have anything to add but wants to find the thread again, they "bump!"
  • Sorry-false. The whole email is garbage. http://www.snopes.com/food/warnings/fruit.asp
  • Can you have an elecetric kettle? That is a tea pot that plugs in, not a hot plate. We used to make soup in them all of the time in the dorms. Rice cookers are also great for steam cooking foods. If you can't have anything that plugs in, there are frozen pre-cooked chicken breasts you could nuke, or a rotisserie chicken…
  • Not sure what you are eating right now, but you mentioned a cliff bar for lunch. That could be swapped for a chicken breast with a salad and fruit. Breakfast of a waffle or bagel with peanut butter. I'd save the bars for when you aren't able to eat a sit down meal. Smoothies after a workout made with a protein powder,…
  • I always say..."If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit next to me!"
  • Hungrygirl.com (I know you're a dude, bear with me). There are recipies for "egg mugs" where you can make all kinds of egg scrambles in the microwave. You would probably need to make 2, or use a really big mug!
  • I've only heard of 1 sports bra that has a HRM. My HRM has a chest strap. The strap fits at the same spot as the bra band, so I don't really notice it when I am working out. I recommend one with a watch that displays results so you can see how you are doing while you work out.
  • I don't worry about the sugar. I even removed it from my tracker. Most of my sugar comes from fruit so I don't think it is bad!
  • Add things like a glass of low fat chocolate milk to meals and snacks. But a word of caution- I was eating back my exercise calories and not losing weight for a couple of weeks. I was using the treadmill calorie counter and the MFP estimator for workouts. I got a HRM and discovered I am burning way less than both of these…
