  • I agree with most of the people here...just work out more! Or, if it helps (which it helped me to cut back A LOT), only drink good, craft beer, and the next day, run a mile for every beer you drink. Granted I live in Colorado, where craft beers are delicious and plentiful, but generally they are more expensive, so I won't…
  • I have a ton of different playlists that I listen to, just making sure they all have really upbeat songs that I love on them. The key is making them the songs that when I hear them, I automatically stop whatever I'm doing and sing and dance around, so they already make me want to move. I need them the most when I'm running…
  • As far as the coffee, I can't drink it, it makes my stomach really upset
  • They all make perfect sense to me. "the skinny rules" are actually the background on my laptop right now. I found it about a week ago. I love them, and don't think any of them are unreasonable, because I KNOW that they work. Those are basically the rules I try to follow on a normal basis anyway, especially considering all…
  • I'd like an invite! I don't believe in scales though, don't even own one, but i'll find one to post my starting weight and finishing weight. Otherwise I judge my progress by measurements. If that's okay. If it's super important I'll just have to visit the grocery store a lot to use theirs, haha!
  • NO DIET SODA!! No soda at ALL! It is the devil! Get a juicer, make your own juice, and drink lots of WATER! I'm not big on artificial sweeteners but Crystal Light helps to break you out of the drinking soda habit. It helped me, anyway. All I drink is water, soy/almond milk, and tea.
  • I've been on the site, and it looks amazing, but the workouts are generally wayyyyyyy too difficult for me. I wish there were beginner workouts on there; I like progressing up, not starting out with something really hard. that's something i'll do 1 time and then quit out of spite. I generally stick to running. I like…
  • Good for you! I'm about to do day 3...one week down, 5 to go!
  • I did day 2 yesterday...it was harder than day 1 but still didn't feel TOO hard. My arms are less sore today than they were yesterday, which is a relief because I was worried they were going to be MORE sore. Overall I'm feeling pretty good about this challenge! Everyone keep up the good work :)
  • Wall pushups would be a great place to start, but I bet within a few weeks you'll be strong enough to move to knee pushups. These things build endurance quickly -- just don't give up! I think every other week they have a little endurance test so that you can see how far you've gone; maybe you can use that to gauge when you…
  • You started on week 3?! Jeez! Good for you though. Congrats to everyone that started yesterday -- for everyone starting other days this week, good luck! Everyone have a nice rest day! i'm personally a little sore -- think I'm gonna do some light yoga today.
  • Yayyy! Welcome welcome, we're gonna have fun
  • Hello and welcome!
  • Okay everyone I've started a group and i THINK that I invited everyone that said they were in (I'm horrible at these types of things) The link is Here ---> http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/2628-100-push-ups-here-we-come Join me!
  • Okay awesome! How do I start a group for it? Ideally I'd like it to start this coming week.
  • So, something weird happened today. I started Slim in 6 today, and right after I did week 2 day 2. And as usual, when the cooldown started, I decided eh, I'm going to see how many far I can run today. My last one was about 2 minutes (the smoking has been catching up to me), the ones before that were right around 5 minutes.…
  • Everyone seems to be doing a marvelous job! I love reading about all of your milestones. Keep up the awesome work :) No extra running for me today...in fact, I think I'm going to cut that out. Even though 8 mins felt GREAT, I think I want to just work up to that. Finished W2D3 today. It felt like exactly enough, where as…
  • I probably won't be able to start doing the challenges until I get in the full swing of the other programs I'm doing -- as of right now, when I'm done with them, I'm almost too exhausted to eat and stretch afterward, let alone do even more! Currently I'm doing Couch to 5K, which I just finished the second "week" of tonight…
  • @Debs -- CONGRATS! That is awesome! I can't wait to get there! Did W2D1 tonight after a rest day yesterday. It was not bad at all. Seemed real short and wasn't tired at all after. I did drink a 5 hour energy about 15 min before I left, dunno if that had anything to do with it! I only took that because I didn't want to eat…
  • Hello everyone! So, today I completed week 1. Days 1 and 2 were much easier than I thought, and after the routine I threw an extra 5 min run at the end, just because I felt like I didn't go hard enough, but I don't want to skip weeks or anything. So I just ran as far as I could, which on day 1 was about 5 min, 5 seconds,…
  • Mine is a song called One Of Us by a disbanded group called The Futurists. I usually place it about 3/4 of the way through my run for the day, or as the last song on my list. I mainly like it because in the bridge, they say "Yes you can, yes you can!" like 100 times. "You could be one of us, if you ever wanted, And you…
  • I'm not saying that I was fat then or am fat now, but a few years ago i went from being about 150 to like 125 (not on purpose, there was a lot going on) in about 2 months. I know 150 isn't a lot to most people, but it seemed like the end of the world to me since I'd been pretty much 115-120 from when I was like 16 til…
  • 3am isn't the best time to try and get squats done...but i'll work on them later!
  • I'd like to be in! I am trying to lose 10 lbs by New Years Eve. (The same 10 lbs that I've been trying to lose since Jan 1, haha!)
  • Hi y'all! I know I'm a little late, I'm starting tomorrow (10/26), but is it okay if I post with you guys on this journey? I tackle C25K a little differently than most people do, and I'm also following a slightly different plan although the basic outline is the same. I think it's called 5K Runner. Something I downloaded on…
  • Hello...I know it's a bit late but I'm starting c25k tomorrow (10/26) for the 2nd time this year. I got through week 6 back in the spring and just kinda stopped one day, but I need to get back into it. The plan I'm doing is slightly different, and I def have a different way of doing it from most people, but it's the same…
  • Hanna, don't be scared I'm sure you'll do fine! I am very sad to admit that for the first time I did not finish a run yesterday :'( I had the 25 min run, I went for 23:30. 2.5 freakin minutes away and I couldn't do it. And honestly I could probably have actually finished it, because even as I was tired and aching I was…
  • @Toadie, omg day 3 was so not that bad! I was so surprised, I made it the whole way through! I think it was largely in part to the playlist I made for it...I picked 4 songs that equalled out to exactly 20 mins so I wasn't checking my watch the whole time, and I had my warmup and cooldown song in there as well so I knew…
  • Is this still going on?
