I miss the newbies. They were full of enthusiasm. Since they were tied to WW, there was a way to help them see when they might be off track a bit. I also miss GOAD Island on Fridays. Sometimes I go by myself. What would I have if there were no calories in it or if I was a bit underweight? Now that it is cold and rainy…

My first choice for exercise is outside on a nice day. I often walk the 4 miles to town on the trail next to the water and have hubby pick me up. My second choice is the cardio dance class at the gym. I have to focus on what the instructor is doing so I don't get bored. I absolutely hate the tread mill; it's so boring.

I didn't know that about diabetes. My friends so has it. He is very overweight and works to full time jobs as a truck driver. Sigh, she can't make those kinds of suggestions to him.

My recent shock was a turkey pesto panini. MFP said at least 500 calories if not more. I had just finished a hike. I'd taken a wrong turn so the hike was longer and harder than planned. I showed up at the restaurant late and hungry which led to a rushed bad decision. I know better. Oh well, Onward and downward.

Wow, way to go

Yep birthday suit first thing in the morning after I pee and before coffee. I confess sometimes I forget and have the coffee. I've weighed a cup of coffee so I can mentally subtract that.

I miss Murple. I enjoyed reading what she had to say.

Tofu and spinach sandwich with small sized bread. Having half a peach with coffee now.

I hope all goes well.

help please, I changed my password on my laptop. I logged off and logged back on with the new password. Now it won't let me update my food. I get an application error. It says that it sent the issue to Tech Support. Anyone else have this problem and figure out how to fix it?

I first joined WW in the dark ages and tracked points on paper. Now I track on MFP. It is so much easier. Tracking calories is easier because that is what the rest of the world uses. While MFP isn't always accurate, it has a ton of food in the database which means I don't have to look it up somewhere else. When I track, I…

Years ago, I went to Hawaii with a thin girlfriend. I thought for the week that I would eat what she did. She could do things like just have a piece of toast for breakfast and an ice cream cone for lunch. I last just those two meals.

Yep, I set the short term 5 lbs goals and the long term goal. Depending on how I'm doing, the short term goals can be really short like go out to dinner and stay within my calories or stay on plan this week. I also do non-food rewards too. My new exercise leggings are coming Tuesday. It's my reward for going back to the…

I regained 10 lbs. Part of my problem is that I had a couple of injuries that limited my walking. I'm no longer a runner. Staying home more and being bored led to eating more. I also seemed to have lost my ability to not overeat at social events or while traveling. My injuries are better so now I can go to the gym and I…

positive: I've been going to the gym 3 times a week and going for an hour + walk 3 times a week. I'm trying to make this a solid habit. The scale is creeping down slowly, which is better than the alternative. Could do better: Social eating and wine. I like having a glass of wine, it's not helping my weight loss. Social…

Nice to be able to post how many points are in things. I count calories but I remember people posting "thingies" so the post wouldn't get pooffed.

Thanks all

I have the same thing for breakfast almost every day; bran cereal, greek yogurt and blueberries. Oh yes, coffee for sure. Years ago, I didn't eat breakfast. It was hard not to get a snack mid morning. All available snack were high calorie e.g. a muffin. I put greek yogurt on my cereal because I have problems digesting…

I don't binge the way I've heard some people do. I do overeat sometimes. Recently I tried to cut back my calories too much and ended up eating a small box of crackers. I do better if I don't let myself get too hungry and to always mix in lots of fruits and vegetables with my meals. When I'm really hungry, the carbs start…

Yes, I'm a stress eater. I retired. That fixed almost all of my stress.

All of the pressure come from me. I'm not hard enough on myself. I need to have more heart to heart talks with myself more often.

Way to go Jim! So close.

Overall, I want to lose 10 lbs to get down to my personal goal. I'm below my WW goal. This month I lost 1 lb. Also not thrilled with that but at least it is down and not up. My challenge is social eating and boredom eating. We have 3 days of winter storms so I'm stuck in the house. On the plus side, I'm going to the gym on…

I split up my calories as 200 breakfast, 300 lunch, 500 dinner, the remaining 200 are snacks are to cover when I go over for lunch or dinner.

I have the same breakfast pretty much every day. Lunch generally varies between 4 to 5 things. I go for variety for dinner. It makes tracking and meal prep easier.
