  • LOL...I can't even find TOOLS!!
  • Thanks for advice....and nice to know you're a RB fan. He was fantastic live x
  • Hi, Little bit confused with what you're saying, but think you mean you are fed up with eating and exercising right, yet not losing. I was in the same boat. What I have done, and lost 1lb a week since is increased my protein intake. I am aiming for 70-80g a day. Boiled egg, low fat cottage cheese, lean chicken and fish,…
  • I've been using it for months and love it! Better than adidas MiCoach and you can use the web site to view your stats as well. Fab programme!
  • Hi, yes, it sounds like you may be developing unhealthy habits around food. Healthy eating, to me, says eating good protein (lean meat, fish, pulses etc), complex carbs (all brown rices, pasta and breads - no empty carbs like processed rubbish Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, crisps, biscuits etc) and lots of fibre, veg and…
  • I am using vanilla Designer Whey 100% Protein. It is tolerable, a bit sweet...not a nice natural vanilla. With skimmed milk, it is ok, with water it was rotten! However, I am drinking it for the added protein to my diet and not as an enjoyable meal, so I just neck it and try and forget about it :-)
  • Iron and calcium affect absorption of levythyroxine/sinthroid, so take them at least 4 hours apart.
  • Lannahgirl, there are no side-effects to levoT as far as i am aware. Only improvements! Don't be scared to take it as being hypo is far worse than taking the stuff :-) Original poster...try serum for your dry hair. I have oily hair and it was falling out, but responded well to small increase of levoT, which yours clearly…
  • I too am an addict. Fruit just doesn't do it for me. I can survive most of the day, then come evening time, I just want sweets and crisps.
  • Have always been good with my thyoxine taking habits....however, recently trying taking it last thing at night as people on thyroid forum saying it is effective as has 8 hours to absorb into your system due to no eating during the night. No change noted so far, but only 6 days in to this.
  • Hmmmm....never eat the same things 2 days in a row, eh?? Ok. I can give that a go, even though i am a creature of habit :-)
  • I was under an endocrinologist when pregnant in 2008/9...he was a load of Tommy Tank!! He simply measured my TSH and T4 and told me to up my dose by 25mcg for duration of pregnancy, then revert to pre-pregnancy dose the day after having my baby!! i was aghast, but he was dismissive and I got discharged from him/by him…
  • Doctor only ever measures TSH and T4 and these reveal 'normal'....whereas I read a lot on the net about having T3 measured for more accurate readings....but how does one tell a doctor to do these things (I'm in UK under an NHS doctor so can't go telling them what to do. Maybe I should consider some private bloods and…
  • Thyroid is underfunctioning, but didn't have it zapped. Taking 100mcg daily of levothyroxine. I will try and resist those crisps and replace with fruit. Thinking of asking doctor for a dietician referral. Have measured my waist....it remains at an ungainly apple-shaped 36 inches, no inch loss sadly :-( I drink approx 5…
  • My understanding is that yoga and pilates are aimed at achieving a 'personal best' and not trying to get as deep into any posture as anyone else might be doing. I am sure you will gain a lot from these activities, and the muscles worked will help your posture, which helps you look a little leaner. Yoga people tend to be…
  • I couldn't dare eat 2000 a day...I would balloon!! I am prepared to try, say 1400-1500, but no more. To be honest, I think I eat that many each day anyway, with no success. I have been calorie counting since Jan 1st 2011 now, trying to stay around 1300 a day, probably eating 1400, taking 2-3 days exercise a week......and I…
  • Getting on the medication will improve your fertility. It will start on the journey of putting you back to normal...more normal than you feel now (if you actually do have hypothyroidism). Low thyroxine levels in pregnancy can apparently affect baby's IQ. If you need levo-t, make sure you take it...it can only help. I was…
  • I totally agree. I have added those activities at times more out of fun and just to see my figures come back out of the red into the green, but like you say, it's just cheating myself. I'm going to stop doing it :-)
  • Totally feeling your comment about finding excuses to eat little one's sweets and chocolates :-) Luckily, my son loves fruit, so maybe I should just stop buying the rubbish food?
  • I have heard people talk of 'plateaus', and also people say though you might not be losing weight, you might be losing inches. Are you taking your measurements? You might find you're still doing ok. I have been eating approx 1350 cals a day with a weekly 'bad' day, and doing an hour of gym 2 times a week with no weight…
  • Good Lord, woman. You look amazing. Loving those abs. Big thumbs up to you and I appreciate your hard work and sustained effort.
  • Hiya, Under where it says 'cardiovascular', click 'add exercise' and make your choices there. Once you have created some exercises, they will automatically appear in a list there and you can adjust the minutes each time, and yes, the calories bit adjusts itself.
  • Well done! You look years younger, and you must feel so proud. I have tried Weight Watchers for the past 10 weeks and put 3 lbs ON!! Very vexed. So, back to calorie counting for me!!
  • I like Weight Watchers pitta bread with some lean chicken slices and stuffed to the brim with watercress, rocket and salad. Can interchange with cottage cheese, low fat Philly etc. Or a WW wrap. Then have a couple of satsumas or any other fruit. I also like to have a couple of raw carrots as an extra.
  • I got them 2 days ago for £10 for 10 shakes and £5 for 8 soups...this is the reduced price. Soups taste a little powdery, but they do the job.
  • Me neither. Maybe they're new.
  • Uh-oh, just noticed I am not supposed to advertise on here. Guess this message will be deleted :-(
  • Hi Weeble91 - we mean Essex, England! But you're welcome to join us in a natter, too! How's everyone doing with the weight loss?
