  • I'm a BB coach but I'll tell you that you can still lose weight and get results from the 21DFX without shakeology. I work at a health food store and am always getting free product from reps for protein powders. I've tried a good 20+ brands between working at a gym and there. There must be some combo with shakeology that's…
  • When I volunteered at a meditation center in the kitchen we cut the tofu into patty size and dipped it in a bowl of aminos and then into a bowl of nutritional yeast and baked it. OMG was it amazing! Just press the tofu like others have said and lay a sheet of parchment paper down on the pan so it doesn't stick as much. You…
  • Have you posted this problem along with your food diary on the Raw Till 4 page? It takes much longer than one week to become deficient in something. So it sounds more like a few other possibilities. Un-ripe fruit, improper food combining, food allergy or detox. I noticed skin problems when I first went raw as part of the…
  • I've been following the 80/10/10 percentages. 80% or more from carbs and 10% or less from protein and fat. Been doing that for around 3 years and it's worked wonders.
  • When I first went raw I had what looked like poison ivy in random places all over my body. It went away after a couple weeks. I wouldn't personally use any cream as the body is using the skin to release toxins and will then have to find another outlet if it is detox. Perhaps take an oatmeal bath or use something else…
  • I agree with what rawindian says. I'm vegan and allergic to soy and gluten and eat around 3,000 calories. Don't try to get in those calories from high fat sources. It will not leave you feeling well in the long run. You can add me as a friend if you have questions or need help.
  • Was it you who mentioned that you were eating around 1,000 calories? What was your previous lifestyle like before this? calorie amounts, diets, exercise? Depending on what you have done previously it can effect weight gain/weight loss. Water weight is another thing to consider. Over 70% of the population is chronically…
  • I eat prunes and consider them to be. You'll have to look closely at the ingrediants to make sure it's 100% prunes and nothing else. If you can find sun-dried prunes those are even better.
  • Awesome thank you!
  • Tender leafy greens have a lot of Omega 3's in them. Have a giant salad at dinner and it will help a lot. I am able to get all my needed omega 3's in without even having to add in any overt fats like most people say you need to have in order to get enough. When having bipolar it's good to keep the overt fats to a minimum…
  • The body will start to hold onto everything if you are not giving it enough. That could be exactly why you were able to loose weight at around 2,000 and now at 1,000 your body just isn't getting enough of what it needs to run properly and so is holding onto everything. I wouldn't worry about not loosing within such a short…
  • Bananas and dates are a good source of calories and energy so those are great. A lot of people find that it takes a little while for the stomach to be able to fit in all the food required but keep trying to get up the calories. Are you keeping the veggies till dinner time? Fruit for breakfast, fruit for lunch, fruit…
  • 1,000 calories is dangerously low specially while eating a raw vegan diet. It's a recipe for failure. No one can last long on a raw vegan diet eating that little. Got to get those calories way up, get most of those calories from fruit. Eating too little will negetivly effect loosing weight. 8 days is not very long at all.…
  • Dates are an excellent source of energy. They are also a great source of iron that we can actually absorb. There is a pretty large variety of dates out there, some sweeter than others. Maybe try out a few kinds and see which ones you prefer.

  • Wow! I just looked up pictures. I really need to get up to Virginia. As we drove through those mountains looked amazing. We had to take an exit to get gas and we drove past the Natural Bridge thing. Farther down the road was a sign that said Foam henge. I couldn't see it until the way back and it was literly stone henge…
  • I'll have to check out the one you went to. It was nice driving through Virginia and I would love to go back and spend some time there. I think all the centers are pretty much the same. The only difference might be a slight change in food depending on what's in season in what areas. They all follow the same scedule and set…

  • Ah yes those symptoms are most likely your body getting rid of the old stuff you where eating. That is pretty normal in the beginning when coming from those types of diets. Hang in there!

  • I recently moved from Connecticut to Florida and noticed the prices at costco are much cheaper in FL compared to CT so stores can vary. I believe the walmart here sells 40lb cases of bananas for $20, costco at $18 and the farmers market at $15. The farmers market we have here is more of a legit farmers market where they…
  • Do you have any upcoming doctors appointments where they would normally check your blood pressure? It could be a possibility of something causing it. Besides that I would say the two major causes while eating this way would be either not enough calories or improper food combining fruits with fats. Keep a close eye on the…
  • It certainly sounds to me like improper food combining. It's very hard to find truley ripe pineapples. Oranges are out of season right now so they were probably not ripe either. In the meantime I would look into food combining. Freelee the banana girl has a very accurate chart. Stear clear of the acid fruits for a while…
  • Hello and welcome! Detoxing can be a struggle for some. What is going on that makes you think detox? Some things can be detox and others just a simple mistake being made when new at this lifestyle. Keeping it simple is very helpful in letting the body do it job. Stay hydrated and try to get in plenty of juicy fruits if…

  • Yay! So happy another person has found this path. You will be doing so much good for your own body, planet and the animals. Feel free to add me for support or any questions.
  • Sending you a friend request! Been on the raw lifestyle for about 3 years with occasional cooked startches as backup when fruit is low or under ripe.
  • I follow 80/10/10 I highly recommend getting the book. I eat unlimited calories from fruits and tender leafy greens(occasional cooked startches when fruit is low/underripe). I run the vibrantly raw group on here if you need some help transitioning or looking for more information on the lifestyle.
  • Grazing is normal. It may not be optimal but is perfectly fine when starting out. It is difficult in the beginning to consume the volume of food required to be succesful on this lifestyle in one sitting. So in order to do such one would have to graze for a while. For optimum digestion it would be better to have plenty of…
  • Spices are something that I personally don't worry about being raw. I find that I only really need to add them if I'm eating cooked food apart from some basil on things like tomato or zucchini pasta. It's not something huge that I think would effect the level of rawness that a lot of people are worried about in the…
  • I highly recommed Karen Ranzi's book Creating Healthy Children. She talks about vegan pregnancy all the way into raising vegan children. She also has a youtube channel which I believe is called superhealthychildren
