  • I’m finding the exact same thing. I’m finding that in order to meet 1330 calories, I need to eat ten points over daily. I’m not even eating a lot of sugar. I’m very sad because I have been very successful with Weight Watchers in the past with different plans. The smart points are just very restrictive for me and I don’t…
  • I have learned soooo much be reading this thread. Thank you!
  • I don't have any, but I can tell you that I did that program for 6 weeks before I had my foot surgery, and it completely changed my body more than any other program has, and I've done lots of programs. I'm starting it again.
  • I lost 50 pounds on the old Weight Watchers points system, had children, and then lost 60 pounds over 2 years on Points Plus. I took some time off as I have a sick child and I came back ready to get to lifetime. I have 7 pounds to go. They changed to smart points and I feel absolutely leveled by this. It feels soooo…
  • The new Smart Points is so restrictive. I lost 110 pounds using Points. I honestly am so distraught. Myfitnesspal hasn't ever worked for me (it's just something about Weight Watchers that makes it magical for me although I know it's not). I'm on Day 2 of Smart Points and I ran out of points. It is so restrictive now and…
  • I've lost so much weight with Weight Watchers...50 pounds before I had kids and 60 after. I've done 2 days of Smart Points and I'm heart-broken. There's now a lot of restriction. I will probably be coming back here to lose my last bit of weight.
  • I agree with the above poster...it's a process and I say to do whatever works for you for now. Maybe it'll help you get the first 20 pounds off. Then maybe you'll tire of it and move to something else. I've lost my weight by rotating between weight watchers and calorie counting. I like to change things up! I'm glad you've…
  • Hi! I'm wondering if this group is the right fit for me. I've lost 65 pounds so far (taking two years) but I've used Weight Watchers to lose most of it, and exercise of course. I track my daughter's eating on my account here (she's on a feeding tube). I have about 9 pounds left to lose. Anyway, would this be an appropriate…
  • Thank you so much for your answers. I was just able to get onto the community now, and I wanted to thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
  • Awesome explanation. Thank you.
  • Where do you get the sugar free coffee syrup? The coffee with my creamer really does me in too.
  • Hello! I had my second baby on August 20th. I gained 33 pounds with him, lost 17 right away, then gained 8 of that back :( I've eaten like a pig and really enjoyed it, but now is time to get myself back. I'm exclusively breastfeeding so I'm finding that the 1200 calories per day plus 500 for breastfeeding is still leaving…
  • Hello, My daughter is 16 months old and is a micro preemie. She is g-tube fed, developmentally delayed, and might have a mild ataxic CP. They won't diagnose her yet. She is my joy and she is beautiful. We have so many therapy and doc appointments that it is hard to have enough energy for myself. She struggles with severe…
  • Hi Ladies, I'm sorry that I have been missing from the QOTD thread. I'm at a really hard time in my life and it's been hard for me to focus on this. I'm so sorry :( But I don't want to let you down by not posting a question, so here it is: Wednesday Nov. 16 QOTD: Do you drink caffeinated beverages? Why or why not? Do you…
  • QOTD: Saturday Oct. 29th. We all have a "bucket list", what are the top 5 things on yours? 1. Scuba dive with a whale shark 2. Go to St. Lucia 3. Run a marathon 4. Go to Argentina 5. Write a book
  • QOTD Friday 10/28: In a week where you gain, how do you stay focused and not let it draw you back into giving up? I feel like such a fraud doing this challenge. I've been counting calories for the most part but I'm just not losing. Anyway, I know I've said that every time I answer a question but I really do feel like a…
  • QOTD Wednesday 10/26: Lets make this a fun one.... If you could go anywhere in the world, where would it be? I would go to St. Lucia. We used to travel the world scuba diving. I loved it so much and it's what inspired me to lose weight. Someday again... I've got to to the jumping jacks still. Thanks everyone for hanging…
  • Monday October 24, 2011 QOTD: When is your favourite time of day to work out? Do you find it makes a difference? I would love to work out in the mornings before my daughter is up. The house is quiet and I am uninterupted, but I have the hardest time gettting up and working out. When I lost my weight before, I would work…
  • Hi Girls, I'm really struggling staying on track. I am ashamed to admit this, but I think I'm now down only a pound or so since the start of this challenge. We had a diffiicult doctor's appointment for my daughter yesterday and it was very hard to take. I'm so stressed out and worried all of the time. But I know that I…
  • Friday, 10/21 QOTD: How does your workout routine change with the change of seasons? If I had a workout routine right now, I don't think it would change with the seasons. When I worked it did, but now that I am home I would like to work out around my daughter's nap time or early in the morning, so the darkness doesn't…
  • 10/19 Wednesday Question of the Day: Do you cut off your eating at a certain time of night? Do you find that if you do, you lose more weight, or that it doesn't matter? I remember years ago Oprah made a big deal about not eating after a certain time. She swore by it. I have never been able to completely cut myself off…
  • Thank you to everyone who gave me encouraging words. There's no way around it...I am at a really hard time in my life :( Five months ago my beloved dog of 11 years had a sudden illness and I had to put him down. It literally broke my heart in two. I stopped eating completely. In 2 months I lost 10 pounds, but then gained…
  • Thank you for your reply!!! Yes, I go to the doctor and I am on an antidepressant. The problem is that the higher dosages make me so fatigued and like a zombie, so I went down on my dose. I believe I am leveling out. I wish that my pill would cure everything though...but I think I just have to get through this difficult…
  • QOTD Monday 10/17/2011: Can you see an improvement thus far in your weight loss journey? How are you staying motivated to continue to lose weight? Uh guys...I am staying around my calorie goal but I'm not losing weight. I eat too late at night and I'm not working out. The only thing I do is eat the correct amount of…
  • Friday, Oct 14 QOTD: Is there a motivational type of phrase that really seems to "hit home" with you - and helps keep you on a successful weight loss path? As of right now, I don't have a motivational phrase. I clearly need one though LOL! When I lost all of that weight before I did have a motivational phrase, but I don't…
  • QOTD Thursday - Just posting a fun question for the day. If you woke up with a million dollars in your bank account tomorrow. What would be the first thing you do with the money? I would hire a personal chef. I am terrible at cooking, and even though we are not going out very much anymore, my version of cooking includes…
  • QOTD 10.11.11: Close your eyes and visualize yourself at your goal weight. When you look in the mirror, what do you see? What are you wearing? How do you feel? I am wearing a mini skirt and those high heeled boots that go up to my knees. I've always wanted a pair of those but they wouldn't go over my calves right now. I'm…
  • You are so funny. I can GUARANTEE you that those two pounds are s*^t! Can you take a laxative or do a suppository? Maybe citrucel. You will feel so much better when you have "done your thing."
  • QOTD 10/9/11 Sunday: Are you an emotional eater? What feelings get you to that place? What is your strategy for overcoming emotional eating? Yes, yes, and YES. This is why I am fat. No other reason. Well, besides the fact that I struggle with depression, BUT that means that I am emotionally unhealthy and that's when I eat.…
