Excellent! Weekends are my big current issue. I don't drink much but probably even one drink is enough to make me relax my rules. I have also got out of the habit of logging at the weekend. Am going to start by planning the entire weekend on Fridays (as far as possible - and it is probably much more possible than I…

Thanks for all the lovely responses! Have added you all :)

Thanks both! I've made an exception for you Canwehugnow ;)

Walking/running everywhere. My kids' school is nearly 3 miles away. Whenever possible I drive them there, leave the car, walk/run home, and do the same in reverse in the afternoon. When they were younger I used to dash out the door for a run as soon as my husband or anyone who could look after them for half an hour stepped…

Hi, feel free to add me, I'm a 43-year-old mum of 2.

Great tips everyone -- thanks so much.
-
Good point and I don't find it as addictive as Nutella, thanks
-
You sound like the evil voice inside my head  I can't do the saving-money thing on treats - I just eat what's there. That's why I've ended up on MFP! Please please this is a multipack-free zone, guys!!!
-
Oh I see!! Mm, I'm not sure the side effects take hold fast enough ... And awareness of consequences to come is no obstacle to bingeing either for me :embarassed:
-
Wow, I'll be looking out for that one!!!

Thanks all, lots more lovely suggestions - keep them coming (but please, save multipack suggestions for a different thread!). I adore dark chocolate and am just as capable of bingeing on it as I am on milk chocolate. Thanks Graelwyn, I know that's really well meant. I've worked on the issue extensively (with professional…

Haha if feeling full stopped my binges I wouldn't need to be here! :ohwell:

Ooh I didn't know you could get little portions of Nutella. My daughter has to hide our jar in her bedroom for me :)
-
Yep as I said, we have the ice cream but not the candy. They sound great! Multipacks though I'm guessing - I need to buy things one by one!
-
Thanks all! A lot of these tips though are for multipacks which are my downfall - I have to buy things one by one :) All much appreciated however

Thanks both. Can't find Skinny Cow candy here, sadly - just the ice cream. Maybe the chocolate will follow. No Kashi either :( Nakd cocoa bars are 131 cals so not bad thanks melanie - I'll add them to my list. Will def try the Alpro yogurt, that sounds really good.

Thanks all. Luckily my motivation is high right now so I navigated the cinema ok. I stopped at the corner shop on the way, bought a teeny bag of M&Ms instead of a whopping cinema-size one, and counted that in. Next week the main challenge will be a few days at my parents' house, where comfort food and family stress (+…

I'm a 28. A few months ago I would've been much worse, but I've also been better. I feel like I'm on the verge of sliding into more extreme behaviour again, and need to pull myself back. I think talking to my husband helped last time. When things get secret, that's when they get bad for me.

Here's the EMERGENCY list I have saved in my phone: 1. avoid looking at/thinking about/smelling trigger foods 2. step away from the food - leave the room 3. alternatives: tea, cocoa, gum 4. l-glutamine (1000-2000mg, every couple of hours as necessary - supposedly helps cravings) 5. brush teeth 6. relax: read, meditate 7.…

baileysmom4 they look great! Unfortunately only available in US format DVDs at present - let's hope they do UK/Europe format soon!

Thanks for all the additional replies. McWooey, I have a few 10 minute solution DVDs that I haven't used for ages. I was under the impression that they were a bit easier than Jillian Michaels. Should I give them another go?
-
I'll be following this with interest ...

Thanks all!

Thanks Joy! Unfortunately Body Revolution doesn't seem to be available in the UK at the moment but I'll look out for it. Thanks also khall86790 - had a look at Blogilates, looks like a good workout but the presentation style is not my cup of tea I'm afraid! I also need a DVD I can order from the UK. Hoping there may be…

That sounds good although I do like the short workouts ...

Thanks all, they look like good options. I'd rather use a DVD than online videos so if anyone has any further suggestions I'll be very grateful - thanks again.
