  • Paleo diet is eating meats, fish, fruits, veggies and nuts. No dairy, grains or anything processsed. When you eat certain foods, it helps eliminate the toxins that have built up in our bodies. I was amazed at the weight loss I had just by following a detox book that said what foods to eat and what to eliminate.
  • I have not done that detox, but I did The Fast Track One-Day Detox which is 11 days long and lost 6.4 pounds just by changing what I ate. I never felt bloated and felt great during the whole process. I am going to be leading a new group called Revitalized Bodies through the detox I went through in March. This month we will…

  • My husband was diagnosed with cancer almost three years ago. It was an eye opener to our health and all the processed food we ate. We started changing what we ate, but didn't do it the quickest. After eating about 80% processed free for about a year I am even more convinced after watching food documentaries and then trying…

  • I am 5'11" and currently weigh 139 lbs. Highest weight was 170. It is easier to hide weight with heighth. My goal is 130, which I reached this summer. When I started MFP, I weighed 153. Calorie range is around 1490. I guess MFP calculates age, gender, activity level to determine our calorie range. It will change depending…

  • Hello Nancy, I hope you get encouraged as you set goals! I started reading through the book months ago and need to start reading again. I need to be better at checking this group from time to time. It is hard to respond to messages on the group site, because MFP doesn't alert you to new messages. Hope this will change…
  • Building muscle is so important, but even with a lot of muscles to help break up the fat. There are still toxins that are attached to our fat cells. These toxins come from our foods that are processed. You would be surprised at the amount of food that we eat that our bodies can't handle and it has to go somewhere (our fat…

I will probably try the Daniel one, when I get more reading done. Just a place to encourage each other and most of all pray for! You will be kept in prayer! Created…
  • I would agree with being good stewards over our body, something I have been realizing. My favorite parts are when he is talking about the five essential components and says. "When you have God and a group helping you, you now have far more than willpower helping you make positive changes, and you are far more likely to…
  • My favorite breakfast recipe is Berry Nutty Breakfast Quinoa in the Omni Diet book, so when I saw the Quinoa Breakfast Bake. I was wanting to try it. My husband made it for our family. He doubled the recipe and I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but it didn't stick together. Anyone else try this recipe and…
  • Just bought the Daniel Plan and started reading it. Realizing when I started my weight loss journey in 2013, that I didn't seek His guidance as much as I should have. God convicted me I needed to be a good steward of my body and I made the decision and have been faithful since then. Last year while working out and watching…
  • I understand the importance of having someone to encourage and be encouraged. Your not alone, God is guiding you. If you want to have a person to connect with, please add me as a friend. When I started my weight loss journey, God convicted me I needed to be a good steward of my body. I am realizing now that I didn't seek…

  • Hello I just posted an introduction to the group and then saw your post. I also got on on clearance but it is a 8 lb. and after workingout with need to see if I can buy a 10 lb. to make it more challenging. I don't know about your knee pain. • I am new to the group and kettlebells. My husband has been trying to get me to workout with Kb for years and I've finally done it this year. I only use it with videos, like Paul Katami, Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper. I am excited to join this group and meet others who already enjoy working out with KBs!
  • Hopefully your marriage is going well since your post! Marriage is so special and so important to God. I was separated from my husband for two years, but God brought healing! Now this summer we will be celebrating 14 years! I couldn't even imagine the way that God has blessed our marriage and so glad that I didn't get a…
  • I will keep you in prayer! It is important to take care of our bodies. It sounds like your working to hard, if your in a whole lot of pain and feel like throwing up. It will be painful and it is not the most enjoyable, but it shouldn't cause excessive pain or discomfort because that will only discourage you. Remember not…
