  • I told my boyfriend via text message that I liked him today (it's something weird that we have. Although we love each other everyday, we don't always like each other everyday). He asked why and I said just because then asked him if he has ever had a day that he has liked me for no reason at all. The following was his…
  • Bump. I usually use it for Hungry Girl's Broccoli Bacon Ranch Slaw but I want to use it in other things.
  • Here's an easier way that I didn't think of last night. Divide the amount you lost by your beginning weight then add two decimal places and you have your percentage. Using the same values as the last example, it would look like this: 25/200=0.125=12.5%
  • Here comes some math that uses those pesky letters but I promise it's an easy equation. Here goes. Your basic equation is going to be L/B = X/100 L is the pounds you lost, B is your beginning weight, and X is your percentage lost. Say you start out at 200 pounds and you have lost 25 pounds. Plug everything in and solve for…
  • I was wanting mac and cheese bad one day so I just lowered the quantity of milk and butter I added. I put in 1 tablespoon of light butter and 1/4 cup skim milk. I divided it into five servings which came out to about 175 calories each. I figured that was pretty good considering what it could have been and it turned out…
  • Here's a breakfast I've been making lately. It makes a large portion And is only 180 calories. 1/2 cup egg beaters 2/3 cup Jimmy Dean turkey sausage crumbles 1/4 cup jalapeño slices, diced 1 Laughing Cow light creamy Swiss wedge Cook the eggs almost completely then add all other ingredients until eggs are done and cheese…
  • I don't do my serving sizes in terms of cups. I use my food scale and weigh everything then divide by how many servings. This one was about 14 ounces per serving. And remember, this is a creamy soup with meat. That's going to add calories as opposed to a broth based soup.
  • Log everything and get a food scale. It makes a difference.
  • It's okay to take a day off if you think you needed. When I started 30 Day Shred, I was pretty sore the first few days and but kept with it and by day 4 of level 1, I believe, the soreness just went away. This may be something you can just work through.
  • I'd say if you really like the veggie burgers and they sound better to you than the hamburger meat, use them! If you're afraid to eat the crunchy taco shells, use the tortilla and put some broken tortilla chips in it for some crunch.
  • You will likely be sore the first couple of days. Probably even feel like there is no way you can do another day without taking a break. That's how I felt. Just keep going everyday (or whatever schedule you set up). By day four or five, it was like all the pain and sore muscles disappeared.
  • I've done it and liked it. I only lost about 5 pounds but lost about 14 inches. I'm currently doing 30DS again but I'm doing two levels a day. It's tough but doable.
  • Here is a guacamole recipe I have been making since I was a kid. People beg me to make it for them. 3 ripe avocados 1 green onion 1 Tbsp lemon juice 1 clove of garlic or 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1 tomato Chop the onion and tomato. Cut avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the insides into a bowl. Mash the avocados…
  • I'm a couple days into level 3 and have only lost about 5 pounds. I've lost a few inches as well but I can't remember the exact amount. I have noticed that I have gained a lot of muscle tone and definition in my legs and arms. I have done each level for ten days the with a one week break due to a class. For those starting…
  • I like to throw in some onions, tomatoes, and bell peppers. Occasionally I throw in some diced ham too. It's pretty filling for me.
  • I wait until I know I won't feel queasy during the workout. Depending on what I ate and how much, it's usually about an hour. But that's just me. I say exercise when you feel ready.
  • I hit disc menu on my remote to get to the menus. Sometimes it wil start playing level one automatically so I hit menu again and I'm able to get to the workout screen.
  • There is someone on here that blogs a recipe everyday. www.myfitnesspal.com/blogs/traciej65 A couple others I like are www.skinnytaste.com and Pointlessmeals.blogspot.com
  • It helps with taking up space in my garage...
  • It's 193 calories per serving with 4 servings in the recipe. I used full fat cheese because that is what I had on hand. Since I don't eat much sliced cheese, I wasn't going to buy a whole new package. The only seasoning I added had zero calories. The total calories for the entire dish I made was 772. And keep in mind, each…
  • Skinnytinis.com has recipes for low cal drinks. Bajabobs.com has zero cal, low cal, and zero to low sugar cocktail mixes.
  • I recently discovered Skinny Cow ice cream and I LOVE it. My favorite so far are the Strawberry Shortcake sandwiches. They are only 140 calories a piece but they do pack 30 grams of carbs and 15 of sugar. But they taste awesome.
  • I like the Loreal Sublime Bronze lotion. It doesn't smell horrible and looks pretty good as long as you get an even cover. Beware though because it has a lot of glitter in it and will get all over everything you touch until you wash it off.
  • I just started 30DS today. There is a lot of jumping and running in place. I noticed a little twinge of pain in one of my knees but went on with it anyway. They do offer modified versions for a lot of the moves. I really liked the workout and didn't think it was as bad as everyone says when they are cursing Jillian…
  • I did not add it to the database but I can if you would like. I find that I'm always changing things I recipes and most likely using different ingredients than other people which would most likely result in a different calorie amount. I even change my own recipes around and I know I will change this one when I make it…
  • It's really tough for me to guess what would be a good choice. If you have a smart phone, you can download apps that already have food items listed for several restaurants (or you can find something similar for what you are eating if it's not a chain restaurant). Just search for "restaurant nutrition". It's a free app. And…
