I’ve been eating avocado egg salad with a dash of mustard and sambal on Dave’s killer bread. So good and filling

I didn’t see this put out yet, but I personally found it eye opening in the beginning: https://youtu.be/vjKPIcI51lU

I use all full fat dairy products. I find that I don't need to add as much sweetener, if any, because the full fat versions are already rich and delicious. For example, I eat whole Greek yogurt adding only fruit, nuts, and oats. I also use heavy cream in my coffee. I tbsp of heavy cream is 50 cal and is plenty sweet/rich…

Op you sound like your handy in the kitchen, have you tried making yogurt? It's super easy, doesn't require any equipment, and you can make a gallon for the cost of a gallon of milk and a starter cup of yogurt. Might help you bulk up your protein in the morning until your eggs come in.

I agree with most of the posters above, just eat less of the main dish and supplement with healthier veggie sides. I also have 3 kids, young teens, and they can easily eat circles around me. Since I don't usually have a lot of time to make dinner here are some quick go tos: 1. Buffalo sliders A rotisserie chicken and…

This. Is. Brilliant.

Oh! And chocolate popcorn. Air pop 70 grams popcorn. Melt 1 Tbsp coconut oil, mix with 1 Tbsp cocoa powder and 2 tsp Sugar. Toss mixture with popcorn, add salt to taste. Toss in 15 grams mini chocolate chips. Makes 4 120 calorie servings. I like to make the whole batch and freeze in individual portions

I have a crazy sweet tooth since giving up wine/beer so here are a few of my tricks: Sugar free gelatin cup (diced up) mixed with 40-50 grams of berries, topped with 5 grams reddi whip= 50 cals or so. 20 grams of low fat vanilla yogurt mixed with 5 grams of dark cocoa powder and a little sweetener of your choice makes one…

It makes my brownies sponges, instead of dense and chewy

I just discovered brownies made with melted butter... Yum!! It surprised me when I went to change the recipe in my fitness pal that the calorie count went down. So that got me thinking about other discoveries I have made. And the difference between almonds and cashews is small, with cashews being only slightly lower, I…

I totally get what you're saying here. I am in a similar boat, except my gain is more than likely real as I lost my d**n mind these last few weeks and ate like 300-400 over maintenance everyday!

Lately I've been eating a frozen blueberry waffle with 8 grams of peanut butter, a small banana, and a fried egg. I also have 2 cups of coffee with milk and sugar. Comes in under 350 cals usually and for some reason the combo is really satisfying to me. No matter what my current breakfast kick is, it ALWAYS includes eggs.
-
I'm curious if those saying they maintain at 1200 cals are talking about their net calorie setting, if they are weighing their food and if they've tried testing to see if that's accurate by eating a little more consistently and monitoring impact on weight? That seems low for a TDEE even if petite.[/quote] Agreed. I think…

As others have mentioned, if you haven't lost for an extended period of time, your intake is likely too high for your goals. One thing I was guilty of as a SAHM was nibbling too frequently, especially when I had young children. A few goldfish as you're putting them in a container for your little, some raw veggies while…

Are you sure you need to eat at all? You might try just skipping your shake altogether and eating shortly after your workout. I do an extremely intense workout on Saturday mornings and don't always eat first. On days when I feel hungry before I workout I eat a piece of toast with a smudge of PB (10 grams or so) or some…

It has taken me FOREVER to come up with a breakfast that keeps me until lunch without blowing a significant portion of my calorie budget. Finally I have figured it out: 1 egg fried in water 1 small pink grapefruit 20 grams of steel cut oats with 1 tsp of chia seeds and 1/2 tsp of sugar + cinnamon soaked over night in 1/2…

As a fellow shortie (5'2", 110 lbs) I can agree with many of the sentiments above. However, I don't think the most important element to success for petite women is being able to feel satiated at a ridiculously low calorie intake, rather, it is consistency and patience that do the trick. Unless you have a medical condition…

Buffalo chicken sliders, enchiladas, chicken and dumplings, pot pie.

I do most of the tricks above, or stevia + cocoa powder. Another quick trick is a small squirt of water flavoring (think Mio, Krystal light, Etc.) there are a million brands/flavors. Granted, this is not the necessarily the healthiest or chemical free option, but it is a fun calorie free way to mix it up on occasion and I…

Hi there, barely 5'2" here. Maintaining a weight of 109-111 lbs at an average of about 1900-2100 calories daily ( though, I look at weekly averages so daily intake is anywhere between 1600-2500 gross).

This week I'm having chicken chickpea curry over orzo pasta and ground chicken enchiladas with black bean salad. I prep for 1-2 weeks at a time on Sundays and freeze in containers. I always aim for 400 calorie meals that are LOADED with protein. Check out YouTube for meal prep ideas if you're not sure how this works. It…

I eat 100-150 calories lower than maintenance 5-6 days a week so I can splurge a little on the weekends eating out or whatnot. At 5'2" and 115 lbs my maintenance calories are pretty low at around 1750 so restaurant meals and heavy desserts would pretty much out otherwise.

My initial goal was 122 from a high weight of 139. I literally flew by my GW and am now maintaining at 114-116. I picked 122 because it had always been a good weight for me but as I've aged I think I look better with a lower body fat. Goals right now include building upper body strength and lowering body fat % from 20.5 to…

I sweeten plain yogurt with 1 tsp-1/2 Tbsp of pure maple syrup or honey, sometimes I add 1-2 Tbsp of PB2 with or without syrup/honey and dip apple slices in it.

Protein fluff at night!

Drink water, as much as you can stomach, first thing in the morning. About a quart is a good goal. I just drink it all at once. You will be surprised how well this works.

I eat and log Semisweet chocolate chips. Every. Day.

I scramble one whole egg (+ whites if I'm super hungry) in a lightly sprayed correle (sp?) bowl, then cover with a correle tea cup plate, and microwave for 1 min. They fit perfectly. Makes a fluffy McDonald's type egg patty which is great for making homemade English muffin breakfast sandwiches. I haven't tried not covering…

Hi there! I have friends who make ricotta a mozzarella with the whey but I haven't. I have plans to make sauerkraut with it this time around. You can find many recipes online. Apparently the most popular is from nourishing traditions.
