Super pumped for the summer games in a couple of years! I have never cried watching a sad movie/telly series but I full on bawl like a baby whenever I watch any major sporting competitions. The camaraderie among athletes and patriotism just really tugs at my heartstrings especially when the national anthem of the…

Pet peeve - slow walkers, groups of people who walk abreast thus occupying the entire path, people who stop suddenly mid walking - generally, people getting in my way :explode: Phobias - worms. I have this completely irrational fear that they will crawl into my ears/nose when I'm asleep and lay eggs in my body and I'll…

JoRocka - HAHA I had no idea Monday was an unwritten, designated chest day for most people. But in my gym, for some reason, around 5 PTs would train their existing or new clients (every dang day around the time I hit the gym  ) using the Olympic bar so I'm back at square one. AlongCameMolly - Thank you for the…

Lunges of any kind tops my list followed by push ups :explode:

Thanks for all the input you guys! Think I'll stick to flat and incline chest work and incorporate some cable crossovers, pec decks & lat raises (gotta admit I had to google some of the suggestions yall mentioned :blushing: ) For the record, I dread chest workouts hence the supersets in my routine. I'd never be caught dead…

Likewise. I go 3x a week with different instructors & all three make an effort to correct peoples form. I myself learned how to deadlift properly from Bodypump & when I did them with heavier weights with a PT for the first time, he told me that I have the perfect deadlift form and some random guy working out next to us…

Love love love Bodypump! I definitely saw increased muscle definition (especially the arms, quads & glutes) after religiously attending them for a couple of months despite it not being strength training by conventional definition. I go about 3 times a week & have been doing so for 2 years, still love it! Definitely go…

Whoa I've never seen people in my gym train barefoot before. I think it's a rule, in fact, to always have covered footwear on. What's the logic behind training barefoot? (Not trolling, genuinely curious)

Bump! Big Adidas fan here. They look absolutely wicked although it does make me wonder if dirt would get scraped up into the grooves. They look like little trampolines those things

TRX atomic push ups & TRX pikes

Try chamomile tea! I used to be insomniac but chamomile tea pretty much changed my life lol. Good luck!
-
Haha no you're definitely not a weakling! I remembered when I first tried Bodypump a couple of years back - the DOMS was the worst I have ever encountered in my life lol. Every muscle in my body was trembling and aching so bad and that was with only 2kg on the bar  You're doing ~800 reps in an hour, it's not easy!

Oh mannnnnn this blows, was kinda hoping it was severe DOMS haha :indifferent: Thanks for the input you guys :flowerforyou: Taking it easy seems to be the right thing to do. I might give it another week to see if it subsides otherwise a doctors' appointment will be on the cards. @cafeaulait7 - oh wow that is heaps cool!…

Give TRX a go! Suspension training uses body weight & engages every muscle in your body, especially your core. The ab workouts are a real killer too. YouTube has plenty of videos

<pictorial evidence  Used to hate them but they kinda grew on me ha.

Chewing on ice cubes. Procrasti-eat/sleep. Saying things that I don't mean when angry.

Thanks for all the advice you guys! I took them on board for the first time running outdoors today and my quads & hammies are properly destroyed. It's so much easier running on the treadmill from the little bit of momentum you get but the views from nature - incomparable. I did stop and start many many times though…
