  • I know how you feel! Some days I just feel so defeated. I need to exercies a LOT in order to lose weight at all. But it takes a lot more miserable before you realise that giving up only feels worse. So don't go down that road. If you want I'll be glad to help keep you motivated...
  • I LOVE the penny war idea! I've never heard of this. Just wanted to add an idea to it : if you can find those jars that count the money as it goes in, it will give you a better guestimate of the total before you're stuck rolling pennies for 78 hours.
  • I know how you feel! My bf does not support me at all! And he knows juust how difficult this is for me. He still stands in front of me eating sweets and saying "what. I'm not on a diet" Talk about a lack of respect or concern!

  • Welcome. I think it's wonderful that you're being so proactive and trying to maintain your health. This is difficult for most people in the best of conditions, so a big lifestyle change such as yours must be tough! You're already a step ahead though, so keep up the good work!
  • Well during the course of a normal day, your weight can fluctuate up to 3 lbs naturally. So if it's just a small shift you're seeing, I wouldn't even give it a second thought. Also, after you work out, your muscles are all fired up and actually cause a small increase in weight. Again this shouldn't be more than a pound or…
  • Thanks for all the support everyone! Nice to know on a bad day I have folks that can empathize. I did find a gym here that's really cheap, and today went well. Hope tomorrow is the same!
  • Those amounts are very low. Your body needs around 1200 calories a day just to keep going. So if you're only taking in about 1000 and burning off even more than that, your metabolism must be quite slow. Your body will go into 'starvation mode' and start storing all the calories it can, which is why you can eat very little…
