  • Taking a look at your diary, I think you might be underestimating your calories. Yesterday you logged a chicken fajita egg white omelet but you said it had completely 0 calories, and 0 nutrition. How is that possible? Even egg whites have calories. The same with the sweet potato fries, you put down you ate them but they…
  • Well this makes sense. I had one of the Chobani Flips (the Coconut one) and when I opened it, it seemed runny and it did have a weird mouth feel. I'm new to greek yogurt though, so I just thought that was the way it was supposed to be. I got pretty nauseous within minutes of eating it. I just thought greek yogurt wasn't…
  • It's perfectly acceptable! Heck, we're having pizza and wings at our wedding reception this summer. We're getting married barefoot on the beach too. If you are worried about doing things that aren't "traditional," you should check out offbeatbride.com. It's an awesome site with a private forum you can join and discuss all…
  • Just keep moving and have fun! Even if you get lost and don't know what's going on, just laugh and make up your own moves! You have to keep going over and over to learn the routines. Once you learn them, you can really start having fun with it! And chances are, you won't be the only newbie in class! I go to Zumba 3 times a…
  • Yay! Another Spotted Draft owner!! I love Belgians....I want my hubby to get one. His first horse was a rescue Tennessee Walker that was green green grean and mean. He got kicked in the knee twice (tearing a ligament the 2nd time) and bit numerous times and so we readopted him to someone who was prepared to work with him…
  • I'd love to teach her how to drive! She's black and white like a Paint, but built like a Perch so she'd be goregous in front of a carriage. Of course, that would be one heck of an expensive hobby to pick up! And she is so sweet and kind. Sunday I groomed her for an hour and walked her out to the field and turned her loose.…
  • I am! I own a 16.3 hh, 1800 pound Percheron/Paint mare named Gypsy. We were in training for dressage and I was riding 3 days a week until she came up lame about 1.5 months ago. We have an appointment for Wednesday at the Vet hospital to get her checked out and then hopefully we'll be back to training! I love my girl, she's…
  • Not to mention one serving is half the bag. Since when does anyone only fix and eat half a bag of ramen noodles? They are high in calories, fat, sodium and don't even fill you up since there is really nothing to them.
  • Toss it with olive oil and the seasonings of your choice (I did it with season salt) and bake it!! It makes delicious chips that are identical to potato chips (with a "green" after taste). Soo good! Google "Kale chips" for a precise recipe. Yum! And I don't even like veggies!!
  • My hubby tried it once and hated it. He said it tasty like nasty cheese. Thus he has scared me out of trying it. Every time I pick it up he says "Noo! Don't do it, you'll regret it!!" I like the thick and creamy style yogurts, so what does this really taste like?
  • I really like Silk's Coconut Milk. It's not obnoxiously coconut tasting, but it goes GREAT on cereal and it's a nice treat stirred with chocolate syrup. It also worked well in my coconut rice recipe. I haven't tried the vanilla version, but the plain coconut milk is good.
  • http://www.bodyrock.tv/ Some of their workouts require equipment, but she has posted numerous times how to rig up your own if you don't have the necessary equipment. For example, a broomstick between two chairs can be a pull up bar.
  • Yup! I'm guilty. I don't eat ANY veggies (unless you count tomato sauce on pizza or french fries) and the only way I eat fruit is completely liquefied in smoothies. There is no fruit I can sit down and eat. Also, I don't like noodle-shaped pasta, I only eat shaped pastas. I also don't like any seafood except for shrimp and…
  • I've done a bunch of them! Some of them turn out not to be that great of a workout sweating wise, but they do get you up and moving and are great for when you don't feel like going anywhere. There is one that is insanely intense and had me sweating buckets, not able to finish a lot of the moves. The Long and Lean Yoga!! It…
  • If it really is that big of a temptation that you can't ignore, I found what was easy for me is to make a deal with myself. First, no drive thru. If you reallllly want that Taco Bell, you can have it, but only if you park, go inside, order, sit down, and eat it inside the restaurant. This has persuaded me so many times I…
  • Kroger's store brand is so good! I had it today, the Naturally Crunchy kind. The ingredients are simple: peanuts and salt, that's it! You do stir it and keep it in the fridge. I couldn't even eat a whole two tablespoons of it because it was so rich and peanutty, not sugary sweet. But it was soo good, tasted like mushed up…
  • The taking one or two bites at a meal thing sounds like a good idea. That way I don't get disappointed if I eat one bite and hate it. Never even thought about approaching it like that, it was always all or nothing for me. I'll look into that selective eating disorder thing as well. That is interesting.
  • Chugging V8 might be good! If I could look at it like a big ole shot of tequila and just down it that would be a start right?
  • Thanks everyone. I knew I'd get a lot of "JUST SUCK IT UP" repsonses because that's what I would tell someone else with the same problem!! LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love love love to try new things. I survived 3 weeks in Thailand (I ate crickets!!) and wasn't hungry a single day. It's just something about the texture that…
  • Ugh, that stuff is so nasty! I tried the ranch dressing version and it made me throw up it tasted soo soo bad. You would be better off eating the real stuff and just watching your portion size and eating it sparingly.
  • I have to echo what everyone else is saying here. I've been doing this for three weeks as well and I've only lost 3 or 4 pounds, I'd love to have lost 7! But, I am exercising every day and I've discovered mellow yoga for stress relief. And it feels good! Don't you just want to feel good? Find something you like to do that…
  • Made a kick-*kitten* lunch today. I've been craving gyros, so I decided to make a healthy version. I took 3 thin slices of roast beef lunch meat and cooked it until almost crisp in a skillet and seasoned it with Cavender's Greek seasoning. Then I took two slices of Nature's Own 100% Whole Wheat bread, toasted it, and…
  • Northernchic - Exactly!! I was afraid to start taking lessons for the longest time because I was afraid of being judged for not being skinny enough or rich enough. But, I found a really low key barn where no one is judgmental and my perfect horse just kinda fell into my lap, so it worked out well! I started off just doing…
  • Go to a running store (like Fleet Feet, not a "mall" type store like Foot Locker) and have them do an assessment. My local Fleet Feet has a treadmill set up and they have you run on it for a few minutes while they video tape you. They can then slow the footage down and watch you run in slow-mo. That way, you can definitely…
  • Hey everyone! All of you saying you are going to wait to get back into riding until you are skinnier...DON'T WAIT! Riding is an incredible workout, not only for your body but it's good for your soul. Horses don't judge you, horses don't make fun of you. Riding has helped me jump kick my fitness because I want to be a…
  • Thanks everyone! I didn't even think about doing it barefoot. I was worried about not having support, but if my foot doesn't slide on the carpet and I hurt my knee that wouldn't help me either! LOL! And yeah, can't exactly rip up the carpet!
  • There are tons and tons of Zumba routines on Youtube. My favorite workout though is to load up an hour's worth of my favorite line dances and just dance for an hour straight. I figure if I dance at the club for 4 hours or so and sweat my butt off, why not do what I love so much in my living room?
  • My hubby tried it once and hated it. He said it had a "cheesy" taste and he said it was gross. I really want to try it since it is so healthy and I can use it in lots of recipes, but he turned me off with the description. What does it REALLY taste like?
  • Don't ignore this!!!! I ran cross country in high school and after a year of doing so, my legs started going numb from my toes up to my knees around the 1 mile mark. My coach was concerned so I went to my doctor. He had me do an MRI and some sort of scan where they insert needles into your leg muscles and pass an electric…
  • I have a North American Spotted Draft mare (Percheron/Paint cross). Her name is Gypsy and she is 16.3 hh and about 1800 pounds. I ride English and we are currently in training for dressage. My girl is huge, but she can be collected, light, and elegant when she tries! She is so wide that it makes lateral work hard, but we…
