Picked this up today at Kroger. Excited to try it. Pizza for dinner, maybe!

Thank you all for the great suggestions! Just thinking about it makes me hungry. I'm planning on getting either the seared tuna or sea bass. What should I do with logging, just guesstimate the ounces of fish and then log, what, like 4T of butter (or oil for the tuna) with it?

Unless you have reflux issues, there's no reason to avoid eating before bed. Having an evening snack while watching TV in bed is one of my favorite things to do.
-
My favorite was when someone thinner than me told me I needed to stop losing weight because I was "getting sooo skinny." All I could do was laugh awkwardly.

It takes many, many months for me to lose a clothing size

Maybe rearrange calories so you can have a bedtime snack? I love greek yogurt with a sprinkle of granola and strawberries before bed. I found that eating (or nothing) less at breakfast allowed me a bedtime snack and I didn't feel hunger until lunch anyways.

I'd suggest filling your normal meals, whether bfast, lunch, dinner, whatever, with food you're interested in and expect to enjoy. Avoid all-day eating "just because" it's vacation. You want to actually experience the food, not just stuff yourself.

If you like the chocolate-flavored smoothies, maybe add a mid-morning smoothie? With some goodies like whey protein, flax, banana, peanut butter. Something like that.

Anyone tried the Flat Out Protein Up/Carb Down wraps? The black pepper and sea salt variety caught my eye

Losing weight requires consistency, just plugging away at it day after day. It's A LOT easier to do that when it doesn't feel like a struggle. Increase your calories and stay the course.

I used to do "free" weekends. I kept my workweek calories very low, like 1300, and ate what I wanted Friday night through Sunday afternoon. I maintained. I got tired of maintaining and decided to stop having free-for-alls. Saw results almost instantly.

I'm sorry you're subjected to this. He sounds like a real pr!ck.

Sunscreen. Moisturizer. Retin-A.

Like previous poster said, your milk supply is well established by this point. Supply/demand is going to have a much larger impact than your calorie intake.
-
I skip breakfast most days because it tends to increase my hunger. I'd rather save breakfast calories for a bedtime snack. Do what works for you to stay within your calorie goal. I've done a lot of tweaking to my diet in terms of calorie distribution throughout the day. Find a pattern you like. Good luck!

My tips: keep learning, keep tweaking your diet until it feels right, and most of all: stay patient and stay the course. You can do this!!!

Thanks, guys. I guess I'll wait until after the wedding!

The new Apple Pie blizzard from DQ is pretty great

@lizzm23 , it sounds like you're doing great! It's recommended to add 500 calories/day to account for breastfeeding, but I think it can vary quite a bit. I'd say that as long as you have energy, your milk supply is remaining stable or increasing, and you aren't losing more than 1lb/week, you're eating the right amount.…

I'm 5'11'' and currently 145lbs. I'm aiming for 140, then will switch to maintenance for a goal range of 140-145.

My son is 10 months old. I gained more than 80lbs (asked the nurses to stop telling me towards the end). I lost it all by 8 months postpartum and am now working on vanity pounds. My advice is to take it easy and enjoy the process. Set a reasonable deficit, especially while breastfeeding. Be patient, be kind with yourself,…

My Kroger had two of the new Halo Top flavors, red velvet and almond crunch. Of course they were sold out of both. <<curses!!!>> They're on sale right now for 3.99, so I hope they restock soon.

When I say food allergy restrictions, I mean recommendations for when to introduce certain foods, i.e., at what age it's safe to introduce shrimp, strawberries, peanuts, etc. My original post was kind of vague haha
-
Plain pureed veggies are a good place to start. Beyond that, Baby can eat whatever you eat as long as the texture is manageable. Check out the latest food allergy suggestions. Restrictions that used to be pretty common have been loosened recently.

My biggest challenge is fighting the urge to snack when I'm concentrating. I'm fine when I'm moving, but as soon as I sit down to write a report, I'm reaching for anything to nibble on. I'm with @arditarose that diet sodas are a lifesaver. Cue the Diet Dr. Pepper, baby.

Tortilla chips at Mexican restaurants. Just one and I'm off to the races. Also pretty much any kind of alcohol. I fit it in about once a week, but I have to budget enough calories for several glasses. Dry white wine is my jam.
-
I don't know why everyone gets so riled up over semantics. I eat (mostly) whole foods, but like a previous poster, I eat identical meals everyday during the week. You can add me! P.S. - love your Sheltie! I have a Rough Collie. I love these breeds - sweet, smart, and glamour for days!
-
Thank you, everyone! I will increase to what I believe is maintenance, start lifting some weights, and see where it gets me.

Thank you for your response. I've been upping my calories by 100/day every week to slow down the loss, as was suggested on this site. I was trying to not increase it too much at a time, but you're definitely right, I need to lose at a slower rate now that I'm close to goal.
