  • Yeah the scale will totally mess with your mind. You look fantastic!!
  • You need to find some good blogs to read and follow. Nerdfitness.com is great. http://mollygalbraith.com/ is a wonderful voice for women and fitness. Very realistic, very healthy approach. There should be articles out there on how many calories your body truly needs. Rarely is 1200 enough and it will set you up to binge…
  • I'm open also. I would like to clean up my diet but at this point I'm just worrying about consistency and tracking calories. I pretty much eat all the things provided the number at the end of the day fits : )
  • If you look around online there are lots of great body weight programs that can kick your butt really well. I even started off small but have accumulated a small gym's worth over time. I even turned an old backpack into a sand bag. I have 3 lb sand weights that I weighted/measured so I can change the weight of the pack.…
  • I'm 5'2 and 170ish. I would like to get somewhere in the 120/130 ballpark but honestly I don't care about numbers anymore since I'm weight training. Feel free to add me anyone.
  • What awesome work. Its always nice to see people at the same height and similar build at goal weight. Helps me keep my eye on the prize : )
  • http://kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-weightloss/ There are some great links and articles on this site. Good luck!
  • You have some great advice already. I read the first page but I'll mention this if it hasn't already been mentioned. Working on your weight is a fine goal but you need to work on your confidence and loving yourself as a person. We can work on the outside all we want but won't be happy unless you work on the inside too. I…
  • I'm up for some new friends too. Please add me!
  • I saw her about a month ago on one of those daytime talk about celebs...type of shows. I never watch them usually but happened to catch were she was on. At the time she had mentioned she put on 15 lbs and she really did look much, much better. Hopefully she is able to maintain this weight. She looks great.
  • YAY! I'm all over some new friends. I'm really working on consistency this go around. Log all the things, no matter if they make my daily food journal look bad LOL. Good luck on your goals too!
  • Yes, I am part of the bible study too. Please feel free to friend me. Amber
  • Hoping, wanting and wishing isn't going to get you there. You need to come up with a plan and set goals. They don't have to be big plans and goals, truthfully its better to start small. Find an accountability group to help you along. I didn't start making progress on anything until I found Chalene Johnson's 30daypush.com.…
  • I have the ultra and love it. I find I do much better when I'm wearing it...its an added measure of knowing how active I really am being. I like how tight it fits against my bra. I lost my first one (must have popped off somehow when I was shopping), contacted the company and they sent me another one. I couldn't believe it.
  • I can vouch for exercise improving your mood. I can tell within a month of not regular exercise by how I'm mentally feeling. You have to start by finding what you like to do. You don't have to run, jog or even walk. In Chalene Johnson's book, PUSH, she has you write down activities you like to do. If you like to dance,…
  • Habits - Don't do the daily diet soda thing anymore. Working on not doing the daily coffee thing. I won't drink coffee without creamer or sugar so that is why I want it to be an occasional treat (plus the withdraw headaches suck). Working on planning my diet better so I'm not lazy and grab fast food while I'm out. That was…
  • So far, thankfully, I have never had an excuse not to accept someone as a friend. I figure its more people to help give feedback and to get and give comments to.
  • Amazing story! You look fantastic and have such a lovely figure. WTG!!
  • When I went through depression a few years ago taking St. Johns Wort really did help. I gave myself a time frame and told myself if something didn't improve within 2 months of starting that I was willing to go to the Dr. for additional help. I also started small and made myself go for walks. It slowly started getting…
  • While I think the 9 minute number for nursing burning 300 calories is odd I would agree that over the course of a full day nursing does indeed burn that many calories. So if this 9 minute number is meant to be for a full day then I would say its accurate. If you aren't nursing all day then I would say that 300 calories…
  • Gorgeous dress. I do think it could benefit from a sash of some sort. I did a quick google and you can see images of all sorts of neat ideas. It doesn't have to be a large ribbon even though neutral colored ones...and even color look nice. Some dresses had a flower sash or even a rhinestone one which looked really lovely…
  • I really appreciate everyone's advice! I'm going to get her to wear my pedometer for a day and see where she is sitting with activity. I know she walks a lot at work but I won't know until I see the number for sure. I told her about all the different replies last night and I've convinced her that we need to get her up to…
  • I just did the Mud Dog Mud Run April 27th in Maryland. September 21 is the Diva Dash in MD, then November 2nd I'm doing the Mud Dog Zombie Edition run...also Md. Next year I would like to do the Mud Dog again but my 11 year old is thinking about running it, the MS Muckfest which is a little longer, and maybe the Rugged…
  • I'm a full week in and have seen a gain. I'm going to toss the scale out for a month. Currently I'm going off the way my clothes feel and despite seeing a slight gain I know I'm not gaining fat weight. Good luck!
  • Looking good! This is great for me to see with just starting out!!
  • I run with my dog. I get it you don't have one. I know its out there but if you have a friend with one maybe you could borrow it for walks/runs? So if that isn't an option I do a few things because I live in the country too and I realize that stuff happens out here too. I run with a knife. I also either don't listen to…
