Meat (I like ham, turkey, and chicken), eggs, and beans! Yogurt has a lot of protein, but beware the sugar content. Same goes for protein bars and powders.

awesome idea!!!! i definitely want to try this!!!

I always have a supply at Vitatops I get from Target. I've seen them at Kroger and they're more expensive there. Definitely worth it for someone like me with a late-night sweet tooth! I've had Banana, Chocolate, Chocolate-Chip Banana, Chocolate Muffins, Chocolate Brownies, and the 90 Calorie Sugar-Free Chocolate Muffin…

Yogurt is great. Also, 100-calorie english muffins with lite cream cheese!

Hamburger Helper and Terra Cotta Chips. Plenty of foods I ate but those are the only ones that actually make me gag haha!

I met Richard Gere in the emergency room where I live. He was there with a kid from the Little League team he coaches in my town who got hit in the face by a baseball. I've met Paul Shaffer (David Letterman's bandleader) a few times as his daughter went to my middle school. He bought my entire cast pizza for her birthday…

they have these wonderful snacks at my college made by Food City. They're like Dunkaroos but with sliced apples and PB! only 150 calories! there are 100 calories ones with apples and caramel or apples and yogurt. I am also a huge fan of dried papaya- 50 calories a stick and great for digestion.

Love Actually and Sweeney Todd (I guess I have a thing for Alan Rickman)

I love Jazzercise! Many of the DVDs have cardio and stength routines as well as combinations of both that you can do in one session. I plan on getting the new Burlesque and Ballet Body ones this month!

I try and stick to the 1200 calories MFP gives me, even when I work out. Then if I absolutely need to I go over 1200. I do a lot of dancing for exercise and there is a room with a few ellipticals in my building at college I try to use on days I don't dance. I'm worried about going home for holiday break in a few days…

I do a lot of musical theatre and some straight plays! I'm more of a "singer who dances" and have been working on becoming a better dancer, so losing weight will really help!

Hi Ashley! Thanks for inviting me into the group! My name is Alexis. My highest weight was about 175 in September 2010. That's when I started college. In January 2011, I joined MFP at 170 and over the course of this year have lost about 20 lbs, putting me at 148ish. I am a performer, so it's important for me to lose…

Yes! I'm 5'6" and have already lost about 25 lbs and looking to lose about 20 more!

I'm in the same position! These suggestions sound really good, thanks for posting this!

same thing happened to me a few weeks ago! my mom couldn't believe I bought a size 8 pair of skinny jeans!
-
i think baked chips are fine! but if you're looking for replacements, try rice cakes (some stores have giant ones, 40 calories each) or popchips.

Not eating late at night is tough for me too! These are all great tips!

Hi! I've been on MFP since January and am also looking for some more friends. Sending my request!!
-
I would go for the healthier option, although I would hope it wouldn't be too much more expensive! I only go out to eat maybe once every two weeks. I usually get yogurt, eggs, potatoes, fruit, veggies, and snacks from the store in my residence building that I can use my meal points in.

congrats, you're looking fantastic!!!! keep up the great work!

vitatops/vitabrownies are my daily dessert/chocolate fix. They're good both warmed up or frozen with a cup of skim milk!
-
I love pork bacon, although I only have it at restaurants once or twice a year. I've never tried turkey bacon, but I always keep a box of Morningstar Farms soy bacon in my freezer!
-
welcome! i'm also a college student and have been on MFP since January. I'll send you a request!
-
Vitatops and Vitabrownies are sooo yummy- they come in lots of flavors! and they're only 100 calories (or 90 for sugar free) and loaded with fiber! FiberOne bars are also great (140 calories) and Papaya is great for digestion!

thanks for sharing this! i was surprised to see Chick Fil-A on the best and equally surprised to see TGI Fridays and Baja Fresh on the worst.

GO!!!! i felt awksard when i first started going to dance class again last year. just wear something you can move in i.e. gym shorts, a tank top, etc. dance has helped me get into shape so much this past year- both improving my endurance/stamina cardio-wise and also strengthening my muscles. at least give it a try and…

i love jazzercies- the have cardio routines as well as strength routines on the floor and standing up. I use Jazzercise Live, and the 60 minute workout incorporates cardio and strength. give it a try!

i alwasy skip appetizers and dessert, although sometimes i'll try a bit of my friend's! still, that's better than a whole dish. also, sometimes i order the dish i REALLY want, even if it's way over 500 cals, but i'll eat half and take the rest home for lunch tomorrow. i think of it as staying under my calories plus…

welcome! i was referred to this site by a friend last january, and thank her all the time for telling me about it!

i don't think it's good to weigh yourself more than once a week. it's normal for your weight to fluctuate a little bit every day- some days we retain more water, sometimes certain food groups take longer to "pass through", etc. but when your trying to lose weight, that 1 or 2lbs of fluctuating weight can be discouraging. i…
