You say you're looking to lose 5 lbs weekly. How about you not focus on the scale & just really focus on exercise. Inches are more noticeable than the # on the scale.

I got back from vacation a week ago. I was sure I would've gained at least 5 pounds considering all the drinking. I ate well & did a lot of walking & swimming & was very pleased to have neither gained nor lost. It was a great vacay!

When I had this problem I used witch hazel( google it) BTW washing everyday only makes the problem worse. When you do wash use a gentle/baby shampoo. Good luck.

Aside from getting counseling, my only suggestion is to seperate your head & your body. Take pics of yourself & replace your face with someone else. Look at yourself in the mirror from the neck down. Maybe you'll appreciate your body when you see it on someone else.

I don't think it's the meals themselves, but rather the portion control. When we prepare our own foods we tend to overestimate serving sizes. A couple of years ago while hospitalized, Ilost weight despite laying in bed all day. The only reason it could have been was portion control.
