  • Hey - my 2nd baby is 4 weeks old. I also have a 2 year old. Have about 2.5 stone to loose in total.
  • I'm weighing myself just once a month, I'm finding that how I feel about myself is linked to the scales and I find it hard to deal when I don't see the results that I want
  • Oh no that must be just so stressful!! Avoid the scales I think has been the best thing I could do. I found that I was weighing myself everyday, and was finding it just so demotivating when it wasn't moving like I felt it should. I found myself starting to want to just eat everything cos what's the point right?? But by…
  • Well when I first started I had wanting to lose weight, and feel good in my clothes etc as motivations. Then as things progressed I found that this started to change, and it became more about wanting to be able to eat as much as I possibly can whilst losing weight. Avoiding the scales like the plague, and being generally…
  • Aww lol, I found that going to gym before work means that I can relax guilt free when I get home which definitely helps. That's so funny about your animals lol, I can just imagine them scattering when you flick the wii on

  • Hi - I'm Gemma from gloucestershire :)
  • Hey - I do!!! I'm from gloucestershire and go to a simply gym, which is awesome. We have a massive free weight area - I train in the morning so it's usually pretty quiet and I have plenty of time to spend working on my form etc. To start with it was really scary getting the courage up to go in and start working out, but…
  • Add me as well :)
  • Hiya - welcome to the group!!! it really goes against what we've been taught about dieting doesn't it lol!!! Everyone has these doubts when they first start - if you look at my past posts you will see that I did as well. But honestly trust in the process!!!!!! The girls here are totally awesome, and really knowledgeable,…
  • ok so the 2000 is already correct - dang it i was seriously looking forward to those extra calories - never mind. OK so i shall jiggle some of the food around, and stop it being to early day heavy. I need to spread my calories out throughout the day. At least i know that it is correct - although it is seriously difficult…
  • Thank you both for answering - when I last calculated I used the katch calculator which uses body fat, hay bales there was also a calculation that you gave me because I seemed to be right in between moderate and strenuous. Which was katch bmr x 1.64 so 1380 x 1.64 = 2263 I wonder if I should just round it up and use the…
  • Ok so my tdee is 2263 and I'm doing a 10% cut to 2000, I think I have eaten about 25g of Brazil nuts which is what has sent me over - I did have 73 cals left over so eating the Brazil nuts has made me go over by 99 cals. I am currently doing new rules for women three times a week and cardio twice a week, sometimes go to…
  • Hello - I use phd diet whey you can sometimes get it on offer from tesco for £30 for 1kg, or if you know someone with a gold card GHC also sometimes have it on offer for the same price - it does vary in price though so look around
  • Hey I'm from the uk and my diary is open if you want to have a look :)
  • ok firstly thank you so much for the detailed reply, it took me a couple of reads to figure out what you were saying, but i think it makes sense. so, i calculated the new figures katch bmr x 1.64 = 2263 strenuous bmr - 1380 tdee - 2380 tdee - 15% - 2023 moderate bmr - 1380 tdee - 2139 tdee - 15% - 1818 so is the katch bmr…
  • your right i do need to ensure that i keep the positives in mind, this is why i don't really want to complain, because i have been over the moon by what i have achieved so far, i would just like it to progress a little further. I'm trying to keep the whole picture in mind, and not just concentrate on the scales, so looking…
  • thank you for your reply :0) - i'm definately having trouble hitting my protein macro, i've started using a protein shake which should hopefully be able to increase that side of things. I also think i'm definately going to seriously increase my weights, and see if that makes any difference. How come you don't lift if you…
  • hi thanks for the reply - i havent done the reset, when i decided to start this i increased my calories to 1923, and kinda went from there. I have considered eating to tdee myself, i'm beginning to wonder if that would be the answer.
  • I think that through this process i have learnt that there is a reason why the popular diets arent sustainable. I think that i have also learnt that my body needs quite a lot more calories than i realised, and that i can actually enjoy food alot more
