Awesome! I started C25k today. I did it a few years ago but I weighed 40 lbs more then. I can already tell it's going to be easier on me this time. This time I'm going to stick with it!

A lot of these are repeats of others but I figured I'd throw in too! I get cold now, something that NEVER happened to me before. The most annoying thing about that is my nose gets cold and it bugs the hell out of me. I don't sweat like a hog anymore and the heat doesn't bother me (which is good since I live in Florida). My…

I'd try a c25k program on your off days. It starts you off slowly and then builds.

electrifying

They look good but do you recommend the behind the ear version or just the press in buds?

Good for you!

I make them with water, but then add 2 tbsp of flax (seeds or ground), 1 tbsp of chia seed, and 1 tbsp of splenda - brown sugar blend. I add a 1/2 cup of fresh fruit to it, usually blueberries, strawberries or peaches. With a 1/2 cup of blueberries that adds up to 390 calories, 63g carbs, 15 g fat, 13 g protein, 7mg of…

Totally awesome! Hoping to hear the same thing myself when I go to the doc in two weeks.

If you are going to start running go to a running store and get them to watch you run. They will fit you with the proper shoes for the way you run. It will save you lots and lots of future pain from shin splints and plantar facitis. Oh, and a food scale!

I weigh every morning and for me its about seeing how my body responds to what I've eaten. I can see a difference when I have too much sodium, for example. I log my weight on Friday mornings unless I have a loss that I see two or three days in a row and then I'll log the change mid-week. I did that today, I weighed in at…

I add two tablespoons of flax seed to my morning oatmeal. I like the crunch, its better than just gooey oats. I also add them to salads, just sprinkle them on. And if you do want to bake, I bought the "Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" book and the recipe for whole wheat and ground flax bread is awesome.

I switched out whole grain bread for white (I make my own now using the "Healthy Bread in 5 minutes a Day" book), whole wheat pasta for white, and brown rice and quinoa for white rice. I still eat potatoes, but now I watch the portions carefully and I probably only eat potatoes once every two weeks or so. Although the…

I've lost 44 lbs in 3 months with MFP and walking 30 to 50 minutes a day 5 days a week.

Steel cut oats that I let simmer while I grab a shower. Then I add 2 tbsp of flax seed, 1 tbsp of chia seed and 1 tbsp of Splenda brown sugar blend. Yummy. I also add some fresh berries if I have them.

Update! I had to use the last hole on that new belt I bought two and a half months ago and I'm almost three pant sizes down too. Almost time for more shopping!

It ain't pretty, but here they are. I reached the halfway point in pursuit of my goal weight today. halfway by Photo Bubba, on Flickr

I can hardly begin to list the changes I am seeing and feeling now that I'm about 3 months into MFP. I've lost 41 lbs, mostly through eating right and walking, and I feel better now than I have for years. When I started I was determined that I was going to lose weight and not deprive myself of the things I like to eat. I…

I've been on it for years for metabolic syndrome but my doc says I may be able to come off it soon with my weight loss. My recommendations: Ask about getting on the XR version. It is way more gentle on your GI tract (just don't get freaked out the first time you find the pill casings floating around in the toilet, I…

Thanks Ainar. Anyone else?

You Sir, are an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your story with us. I know that you will be an inspiration to me when I am despairing of the scale moving or looking longingly at that cake the rest of the group (of overweight people mostly) are devouring infront of me. Good luck with your tri and keep up the good work.…

Welcome Geeky girl from one of the Geeky Guys. As far as I'm concerned if you ever rolled dice that didn't necessarily have 6 sides you are old school!

My doctor cut my blood pressure meds in half last month. It's a great feeling! Next checkup I'm hoping to get off the BP meds altogether and the Metformin for blood sugar too.

If we start a MFP game online we can play from anywhere!

Quinoa!!!! Its made giving up white rice bearable and my daughter loves it! I suggest making it with fat-free chicken broth and I always saute a little onion and garlic before adding the quinoa and broth for the flavor. You can also make it into a quick pilaf just by adding some frozen peas and/or diced carrots the last 5…

I've now lost a mid-sized microwave. My goal, the world's largest ball of tape wrapped around a human brain.
